Myles' POV:

The fact that we have a long math assignment sucks, but the fact that I get to work o it with Briar is awesome. I mean now I can spend even more time with her than I usually do. Well we already spend much time together but now we have to. Ok I shouldn't get to excited, it is still homework.

"Hey guys how was math?" Jessy asks as we join the rest at our usual table. "It was fine I guess, but he was definately in a mood today." Briar sighs. "Oh yeah you noticed that too? He was just so crumpy." I say and we all laugh as we all have the same math teacher. Well except Jordan so he just rolls his eyes at us, "I bet he isn't that bad." We all laugh again. "He really is!" Briar exclaims. "Yeah like one day he is happy and all, then sad, then angry..." Jessy explains. "Ugh it's just so confusing and frustrating!" I end it making them all laugh even more. Yeah we do laugh pretty much. But that's a good thing.

"Hey babe!" Oh gosh I almost jumped out of my chair. Behind me I see Katie standing with her hands on my shoulders looking supriced down at me. "Wow you ok?" She asks wierdly yet a bit worried. "Nah he just scares easy." Tanner smirks as Jordan claps his shoulder laughing with Devon. Ok I might be easy scared but it's only cause people keep sneaking up on me. It's not my fault.
"I'm fine, wanna sit?" I ask and she nods before kissing my cheek, sitting down in the seat next to me as Devon scooched over a bit.
"Hey Briar by the way?" She says looking at Briar who sits on my other side eating her lunch. "Yeah?" Katie hands her a letter and I stare intrigued at it with big eyes making Briar laugh at me as she was the only one who saw.
She rests her elbow on my shoulder leaning in across the table so she could look directly at Katie. "What is it?" She asks and I also turn my head to look at Katie. "I told my mom about your dad," I immediately feel Briar tense up next to me. Uch, she proberbly shouldn't have said that. But oh well what's done is done and it might be a good idea to make it a thing we can talk about. It all really depends on what Briar wants. "Yeah?" Briar says moving on from the silence. "Apparently him and my mom work together so she asked me to give you this card." She explains gesturing to the card in Briar's hand. "It's for him, but I don't knwo what it is." There quiet for a while again, both me and Briar staring intensly at the card. I place my hand close to hers holding onto the cornerof the paper. "Can I see?" I ask looking up at her face again. She smiles slightly before looking up at me. Her big green eyes meet mine, making me forget everything but her for a sekond as we just gaze into each others eyes. Luckily she decides to speak before it got awkward or wierd. "Sure go ahead." Her grip on the card loosens and as she pulls away her hand it brushes past mine, setting off little sparks inside my hand where she touched me. I feel my face heat up but quickly look away and down at the card instead.
It's just plain white, nothing special. I wonder what it says but of course I won't open it. It's for Briar's dad so it's really none of my business. I'm just curious.
"Thank you." I say handing her the card again, and just as I was about to rest my hand on the table it lands on something soft and smooth. I quickly take it away again as even more sparks went off just under my skin. Ok so that was the sekond time today I touched her.

I decide to just grap my fork and eat my lunch while talking to the guys. I guess they say my blush before as they can't wipe off those smirks of theirs. They don't have to know that I like Briar, no one has to know. She doesn't like me back, of course she doesn't. So why would anyone have to know.
"Hey what are you all doing after school later?" Tina asks and all of us shrugs except Anne who has a docters appointment to get her eyes checked. Mabye she needs new glasses. I don't know and not to sound mean or anything, but I don't really care.
"You wanna get together and watch a movie or something?" She asks again and we all agree even Katie. Or of course Katie, but you know... new people can be hard. Even though they all like her and she likes them.
"Where?" Briar asks and there's quiet. I kinda feel like no one wants to do it at their places. Oh wel why not? "We can do it at my house?" I suggest and they all nod. Great then that's settled. I just hope my mom won't mind.
