Chapter 8
When Hunter got home from school for once the first thing she did wasn't go up into her bathroom to cut instead she sat on her bed and thought that maybe someone actually cared about her. Sadly her good mood was crushed when she heard the front door slam open then close. She had forgotten that her mom was home for the week, but thankfully it was her last day at home then she would be gone for another month.
Sighing Hunter walked down stairs and paused when she heard her talking on the phone.
“Well I don’t care what they are saying… Well yes I do realize that she is by herself all the time, but…. Fine I’ll ask.”
Hunted held her breath.
“Hunter come here now.”
Slowly she left her hiding spot on the stairs and went to her mom.
“Yes?”
“Darling will you please tell me why there aren't rumors going around that you're a slut?”
Hunter froze she couldn't move. How did she find out? Who told her? What do I say?
“Umm…”
“Because I know for a fact that those rumours aren't true. They aren't true, right?”
“Well Mom... umm”
“Oh my God my daughters the freaking town slut!” she yelled. “Go to your room.”
“Mom let me explain-”
“I told you to go to your room.”
“But Mom-”
“No buts go now!”
“Just let me expl-” her mom cut her off.
“I said go!”
Then she did something neither of them thought she would do in a thousand years. She slapped Hunter. They both had shocked expressions on their faces.
“Hunter I'm so sorry.” But Hunter was already gone.
