---Chapter 10---
“Hunter?” he repeated.
Hunter wasn't paying attention she was too focused on the fact that he found out. Nobody was supposed to find out. Not her mom, not Asher, no one was supposed to find out.
“Get out,” she whispered.
“Hunter I-” she cut him off.
“I said GET OUT!” She yelled.
“Please can we just-” She stopped him.
“I don’t need need your pity now go,” her voice was shaking.
Asher took the hint and against his better judgment left her alone.
Hunter broke down when he left. He found out now she would have to avoid the only person at school that would actually talk to her. That thought alone made her cry even harder.
Her mom can in her room to check after about thirty minutes.
“Honey what’s wrong?” She had asked.
“Go away!” Hunter had told her and she did.
Hunter didn't go to school the next day or the day after. She finally went to school on Thursday when she decided that she couldn't run forever.
The day was pretty uneventful and boring. For once no one harassed her in the hall, so everyone was practically ignoring her and she didn't know if she should be happy or scared. Normally when people ignore her that means something bad is going to happen to her or that the universe has decided to give her a break. Hopefully the latter.
By lunch Hunter had thought she had caught a break for once. She was wrong.
Hunter walked into cafeteria and got the worst possible scenario. Amber was sitting on Ashers lap shoving her boobs into his face. The worst part was that he didn't even seem to care. Hunter thought he hated her.
She felt something wet on her face. Hunter was crying.
No. She thought. He is not worth it and never was. He was just using me. This whole time I was nothing to him. Suddenly she started to laugh. She sounded crazy even to herself, but who cares. People started to stare at her.
“Freak,” she heard someone say.
She didn't care. Asher looked at her startled. Amber started to get up but before she could Asher shoved her off of him and started to walk towards her.
“Hey, are you okay?” he asked.
“Of course I'm not okay,” she told him. “And I hope You and Amber are happy together.”
Just then Amber walked over to them.
“What are you doing, Freak?” she snarled. “He is mine.”
Hunter stared her down.
“You should just die already. No one would miss you.”
“Maybe I will,” Hunter replied.
Then she was gone.
