"I-um, do you love me?"
I jumped out at his sudden question, well quite obviously I do.
"Of course I do." I replied with a smile.
"I just want you to trust me, okay?" I nodded, and all of a sudden the lights went out.
I told Jongin to stay put and went outside to see what the hassle was. The doctor was kinda blocking me, "Um..Doctor..?"
"Oh you can call me Xiumin, Mr. Kyungsoo. You're with Mr. Jongin, if I'm not wrong?"
I gulped, "Yes." Wow I've never seen a more prettier doctor in my life, I swear. His violet hair was ruffled, perfectly bringing out the the ash color of his eyes. He gave me a bright, gummy smile as a result of which his cheekbones lifted high and above.
He adjusted his glasses, "Um is something wrong, Mr. Kyungsoo?"
"Absolutely not." I said and realized the lights were back on. I was a bit thirsty so I decided to grab some water.
~
I went back to the room and found Jongin asleep. Xiumin was already there and gave me a small smile when I got there. I sat down watching how he examined Jongin.
He pushed his robe to use the stethoscope on his chest, when I noticed his eyes widen.
"Is something wrong, Doctor?" I sprung up from my seat to notice something glowing from Jongin's chest. I'd never seen it before, well not like I've exactly seen him shirtless or anything but what in the world does he have an LED pinned to his heart or something aish
Xiumin stood frozen, his eyes fixated on that weird crossaint looking tattoo, it looked like knotted hearts.*
"Do you know what it is?" He asked me.
I couldn't answer. More than I felt embarrassed that I didn't know what the actual hell was up with my boyfriend, how twisted his life is, I don't even know that he has tattoos and what those tattoos mean wow.
He adjusted his glasses again, "If its, its glowing, it means, the other one is strengthening the symbol..the other one is consuming his powers too..-"
I went around and tapped Xiumin's shoulder "Doctor? Doc?!" Xiumin!"
He just stared at me, his eyes a mix of childlike wonder and fear, "Do you know something about this?"
"I, I do. But who are you to him??" His eyes examined me from head to toe.
"I'm, I'm his boyfriend. Can you tell me about this, please Doctor?"
He quickly took out a pen and jotted down something, "Xiumin." He corrected me, handed a piece of paper and was gone.

Call me 0504201212 :)
~
I heard Jongin wincing in pain as his eyes fluttered open., "Is something wrong, Kyungsoo?" He croaked.
"The doctor said you can be discharged in 30 minutes but looks like you're in pain."
"No, no I'm fine I just want to get home."

On the way back home, I was completely lost in my thoughts, is Xiumin trustable? I mean yes, he looks like an intellectual but I'm too scared to trust anyone at the moment. If that crossaint tattoo thing has such importance, then why hasn't he shown it to me, or even told me about it? Maybe Jongin has ulterior motives? Aish, what am I even thinking?
How can I not trust Jongin?

I waited till half past midnight to call Xiumin, when I was sure that Jongin was asleep. I went to the attic and sat by the windowsill, dialed Xiumin's number and waited.
Just then, I saw a bright light that shone from the lawn. The light was almost like it was coming from a camera flash.* From the night when Jongin confessed to me and Sehun blabbered some bullshit, I feel like someone has been following me, damn, have I got myself a stalker?* I opened my window to see who it was..."Hello, Kyungsoo?" Xiumin answered.
"So about that symbol.."
~
I waited in the food joint that Xiumin asked me to come. It was around 9 AM, and the sun was so fucking bright I would've gone blind.
"Hey!" Xiumin waved from a distance before seating himself in front of me.
Let's get to business.
"Before talking about that symbol..I was initially a researcher and was interested in these kind of symbols and Celtiberian traditions. I might have forgotten what the symbol represents exactly, however, I do know that it has a very strong meaning and is shared with another person. It only glows when something serious is going to happen, and its happening only from one side. However, considering the fact that Jongin was unconscious, I'm not too sure. Did he have any pain yesterday?"
I nodded, he did wince in pain when he woke up yesterday.
"Oh. That means he is unaware, or almost has no control over what's happening to him. I'm not too sure as to what kind of symbol or what powers it has. Looking at how powerful the glow was, it's not simply a tattoo, but is a mark, a mark that simply can't be erased. Definitely, some amount sacrifice is being made, I presume, as Jongin is quite unaware of what is happening. No one knows what kind of sacrifice it is. It can be a person or some material or something much more worse."
Listening to all of this overwhelmed me so much that I hadn't realized that I was crying. It was all so much pressure on my mind and the cat had caught my tongue with the last lines that Xiumin said.
Can he really be right?
Is Jongin really not knowing what is happening to him?
Or is he willingly doing this for someone, and I'm the bait?
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry Kyungsoo." Xiumin quickly apologized.
I wiped my tears and told Xiumin that I'd like to know more about all of this, and so we agreed to meet twice every week.
~
Dear Diary,
This strange darkness that is shrouding me, is making me tremble with fear for when the lights go out, even the wise can't tell the difference between the truth and the lies.
