I sling my bags over my shoulders and make my way to the lobby with Tukiko, my best friend. She checks us in and we head to room 107. This vacation was going to be epic, hopefully. But what's not to be epic when you're staying at a beach resort with perfect white sand and beautiful aquamarine water, not to mention the hot springs and all the stores you could shop at. She unlocks the door and I throw my things into a bed on the right, plopping down and stretching out. Suddenly feeling lazy, I jump up and head to the window seat, speculating the surroundings. The beach was beautiful with its perfect white sand and the aquamarine water shimmering under the round, tangerine sun. And a training field! I excitedly jump up.
"Hey, how about we go explore and meet back here in two hours, review and head to the beach?"
Tukiko nods eagerly. "Yeah! Sounds good!"
I smile and head to the porch, swinging myself over the railing onto the ground beneath. Our room was on the second floor and this was a shortcut to the training field. I stand in the middle of the isolated field, trying to decide on which obstacle to begin my practice on. I grab the kunais and shurikens from my boot and swiftly throw them at the targets. The edges of the weapons bury themselves into the wood of the target where the heart would be and I throw my final kunai, wedging it into the wood where a black dot represented the eye. I stretch and head to the tallest tree, positioning myself before running up it. 1 minute and 20 seconds! My time improved, I was getting better! I smile to myself and stand in the middle of the field, and meditate to let my body relax.
"Think fast!" I hear a mysterious voice yell.
My eyes shoot open and I quickly jump out of the way as an object rushes towards me. I kick my foot out, making the object fly into the air. I hold up a kunai in defense.
"Nice, you did well in training so I thought I'd test you." A guy with long blonde hair stands in front of me with a grin plastered on his face.
I tuck my kunai away into my boot. "Uh, thanks. You kind of caught me off guard."
"I wouldn't have guessed, you evaded my bomb well."
I raise my eyebrows in disbelief. "You threw a bomb at me?"
He chuckles. "It was a weak one, it wouldn't have hurt you. And I'm Deidara, by the way."
I smile. "Nioki. Will you help me train?"
"Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem. Right Sasori, my man?"
"Are you really going to keep me waiting?" A red head asks irritatedly.
Deidara waves him off nonchalantly. "Just go ahead and go to the room or the bar or whatever, this might take a while."
Red head, who I assume is named Sasori, walks away after a final huff.
I put a hand on my hip. "Are you dissing my training?"
"No, no. It will take a while to test your full abilities." He throws another bomb at me, which I quickly evade. Thus began the training and the blossoming of a new friendship.
