He observes me before realization dawns on him. "Deidara introduced you earlier. Aren't you his new girlfriend or something like that?"
I shake my head. "We are just friends."
We begin talking and he takes another sip of his sake as Deidara sits down next to me. "So, you've met Itachi?"
I nod. "Yep. He is really nice."
"Yeah, Itachi is one of the very few mature ones in the Akatsuki. So, what did you guys talk about while I was away, trying to make Tobi be less...Tobi?"
"We just talked about life in the Akatsuki. It sounds fun. You always make it sound like it is such a dread."
He laughs. "It is a dread when your partner is Tobi."
We all talk as the night continues and more Akatsuki members make their way to the bar. By the end of the night, I dreaded having to go back to the room. They were all really fun to hang out with and I definitely wanted to have a get together with them sometime soon.
I stand up from the stool. "I have to go but we should definitely hang out soon. Maybe you guys can come up to my room sometime and meet Tukiko."
Deidara stands as well. "Yeah, that would be great, right guys?"
They all agree to meet up sometime next week after they all completed their missions. Deidara walks me to the door. "I had a great time!" I say and smile. "Too bad I have to go." I frown.
"Who says you have to go? They all love you, you're like another member to them and they've just met you."
"I would love to stay but its getting late and Tukiko needs to tell me about her date with Kiba."
"Okay, I will walk you there." I laugh as we lock our arms together and walk to my room. "So, who's Tukiko?"
"She's my best friend and my roommate."
We get to my room and stop. "Thanks for inviting me! I really enjoyed myself and meeting the Akatsuki, they seem great well except for Hidan and Tobi."
He laughs before waving goodbye and disappearing. I open the door and sigh. Tukiko was lying in bed, pale as a ghost.
I sit on my bed and bite my lip. "You okay?"
"I...I...don't really know." She stares off into space.
"How was the date?" I ask smiling and raising an eyebrow even though she couldn't see the suggestive gesture.
"Yeah about that, we are just gonna be friends."
"What happened?" I ask curiously.
"Let's just say he tried to make a move that I most definitely wasn't ready for." She turns over, burying her head into the pillows. I was guessing she was calling it a night. I change in the bathroom and head to bed. What a night."
