New girl~ Alex

It's been two weeks since the incident at the park and Kaia and I had not spoken since. She was giving me space, the space I told her I need. The big rumor in school was that we had broken up and so everybody was bombarding me with questions about how it is to date Kaia Lutz blah blah blah.
These two weeks haven't been perfect but they haven't been bad either. Bailey and Ian are officially together, Lora and Justin are official too and I'm happy for both my friends. I was sitting in history class, not listening at the teacher ,too busy thinking about my life. the bell rang and i got up and left. I went to my next class, the class Kaia was in and Lora.
"Are you okay?" Lora asked me for the hundredth time, I nodded and tried to focus my attention on the teacher. After English it's was lunch
"have you guys seen the new girl. She's super cute and I heard she's gay" Bailey said. Bailey and Lora started talking and talking and I just zoned out. "I'll see you guys later, I have to go to the library quickly to get a book for English" I said getting up.
"You want us to come with you?" B said
"no, last time I went to the library with you guys we got kicked out by Miss Jones" Lora laughed. "That woman is a bitch" Lora said, I said goodbye to them and walked off to the library.
I was in the library, looking for a poetry book, I saw a book I knew had poetry but it was on the top shelf and I wasn't so tall, I groaned. I went up on my tippy toes and tried to reach the book but no luck. I sighed and jumped and I finally got to push it to come closer to me then I stood on my toes again and reached for it instead i pushed it back.
"Fuck!" I groaned. I heard giggling behind me and I turned around and saw a girl with black hair, who wore light blue jeans, with white nike sneakers and a white long sleeve shirt,She was really pretty and I had never seen her before. I looked down at the floor, embarrassed. She came forward from behind me and easily reached up and grabbed the book for me then she gave it to me with a smile on her face.
"Thank you" I said
"you're welcome. My name is Alex Halter, I'm new" I smiled at her "Zara Santiago" she nodded.
"Nice to meet you Zara. Would you mind showing me around, I don't know where my next class is" she said
"I don't mind" I said. She smiled widely again, damn this girl sure loved to smile
"thank you, Zara". I signed out my book then helped Alex find her class which was the same class I was going to, English. Alex and I sat next to each other in English, Bailey, Ian, Lora,Justin and Kaia were also there but Lora and Justin were talking so were Ian no Bailey and Kaia was on her phone.
Alex and I were talking, she was actually very funny, telling me stories about her last school. She was cute. "Miss Santiago, please quiet down. You're disturbing my lesson" Mr Brown said, I nodded and the whole class had their heads turned to me. Alex giggled next to me and I punched her shoulder . Alex and I separated after giving each other our numbers.
"You like her!" Bailey squealed as we walked to the parking lot, school had ended. "No, I don't like her Bailey okay" I said for the hundredth time. "Well, she likes you, did you see the way she looked at her?" Lora said, B nodded. "I do not" i said, Bailey put her hands up in surrender and Lora laughed.
I saw Alex getting into her BMW sports car and drive off. "Oh yeah, you definitely like her" Lora said snapping her fingers in front of my face, I rolled my eyes at my annoying friends.
