Heaven and Hell (S.S)

Carnival

I walked to the Carnival and looked around. 

I saw them all there. Enzo, Bonnie, Caroline, Ric, Matt and of course, Stefan. Neither of them had noticed me. 

Stefan " Thanks for coming. I thought we could give the funeral another shot."

Caroline hugged Enzo and Bonnie "Welcome back."

Caroline and Bonnie sat down at the table and Ric, Matt and Enzo stood behind hem. 

Stefan had his back to me" We're here to... honor Tyler."

Ric " He was strong. In the face of so much loss."

Enzo"He fought the darkness inside himself and won. I respected the hell out of him."

Bonnie " Tyler was willing to sacrifice everything for us."

Matt "He cared about all of us. And he was my best friend."

Caroline " He was so much more than a small-town kid and he lived so much more than a small-town life. I loved him. You know, we all did."

Stefan " Look, we don't know what'll happen next to any of us. But we can't let that haunt us. We can't let that make us forget what we mean to one another. A few years ago, I sat on top of that Ferris wheel with Elena and I told her how important it was to appreciate these moments. Because moments are all we have. So in honor of Tyler and Elena, we need to keep creating moments like these. We need to remember to live."

He walked to a post and pulled a lever. All lights went on. 

Me "You know, first time i saw Tyler, i thought he was an ass but throughout the years i got to know him...and...i realized that he's just a kid that went through so much. He deserved better than this, he deserved better than this town. "

They all turned to me shocked. 

I felt tears coming up in my eyes when their jaws dropped. 

I smiled weakly at them "Hey, guys"

Caroline was the first to move. She ran to me and hugged me. 

Caroline "you are back"

I nodded hugging back "I'm back"

Caroline "i'm happy to see you"

Me "too"

Caroline let go of me.

Ric walked to me "Adi"

I chuckled teared up "hey, bro"

He hugged me "Glad you're back"

I nodded hugging back "me too"

Then Enzo.

I chuckled when i hugged him "Hey, bud, you're back too"

Enzo nodded and looked at me "I'm glad to have you back"

I nodded "me too"

He chuckled. 

I nodded at Matt who nodded back. 

Then i looked Stefan who didn't know what to say.

I was standing in front of a the can wagon and was throwing balls at cans. I was failing. Great. 

I threw another ball and missed. 

I breathed out exhausted. I heard someone walking to me. I didn't have to look to know who it was. 

Stefan "you're back"
