Next day. Morning.

I walked downstairs and saw everyone except Ric sitting on the sofas.

I asked confused "What's wrong?"

Caroline "Stefan called. He was worried about you"

I looked at Stefan who gave me a soft smile.

Damon "what happened after you met Kai?"

I sighed and walked to the sofas. 

I sat down next to Stefan "We have a very big problem "

Bonnie asked confused  "what do you mean?"

Me "Apparently we only killed the King of Hell"

Damon raised his eyebrows "you mean there's a also a Queen?"

I nodded. 

Caroline "and who is the Queen?"

I looked at Damon with a look. 

Damon scoffed and shook his head "no. No. "

They looked at Damon confused. 

Me "D-"

Damon "No! Don't you dare say that name"

I took a deep breath "Katherine"

Their jaws dropped. 

Damon's face fell and he took his phone out.

He called Ric "all right, professor, how do we get rid of the queen of hell?"

Ric "Are you sure Katherine's in our world?"

Me "When Cade crossed planes after the 11th ring of the bell, other souls could step through, too. Like Kai. Katherine would have jumped at that chance. "

Caroline "Then why haven't we seen her yet? I thought by now she would be strutting around, making demands, or trying to get us all killed. "

Stefan "Maybe she's biding her time. "

Damon "or putting her own plan together"

Me "or planning the perfect entrance"

The gave me a look. 

Me "What? It's still my little sister we are talking about"

Dorian "Either way, you're gonna need a new weapon. "

Stefan asked confused "is that Dorian?"

Ric "Yeah, i've asked him to take point on our research front. "

Dorian "This doesn't mean you and i are cool. i still have those files on you, so, i'm here to hold you accountable for the rest of your life"

Stefan nodded  "i hope you do"

I grabbed his hand and he looked at me. I gave him a soft smile and he returned it. 

Caroline "so what have you guys come up with? "

Dorian "Cade was killed with a dagger that was made from his bones. It was fused into glass by a while-hot flame. First things first, though, i don't suppose you know where Katherine's bones are?"

Damon let out a chuckled "oh, who'd have ever thought she'd have done us a favor? We've got every last one of Katherine's bones in the cave, underneath the old church, left over from traveler barbecue she had when she tried to possess Adelaide. "

He handed me a drink and i nodded at him. 

Bonnie "but fusing the bones into glass...how do we make that kind of weapon? "
