"I Would Die For You"

Next day. Morning. 

I sat up gasping. I tried to calm my breath and looked around. I was lying in my bed and i was alone. I stood up and saw the empty syringe on the nightstand. I breathed put relieved. I turned to the door when i heard footsteps coming closer. 

Stefan walked inside with a drink in his hand. 

Stefan looked at me shocked  "I didn't know when or if you were going to wake up so i got you a drink just in case"

He put the drink on the drawer next to him. 

I asked hopefully "Stef?"

He nodded.

I ran to him and jumped at him. I put my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. Stefan put his arms around my middle holding me up and close. I started to cry. 

I sobbed "you are back. Y-You are back"

I looked at him and kissed him. He kissed back. 

I broke the kiss and leaned my forehead against his. 

Stefan "have i ever told you how much i adore and love you? "

He let me down and his arm went around my waist and his other hand went to my cheek. 

Me "i love you"

Stefan "and i love you"

Then he kissed me again.

I walked out of the bathroom and saw Stefan sitting on the bed. He had his back turned to me. 

I walked to him and saw him holding the two empty syringes. 

I sighed "Stef-"

Stefan "I don't know if what you did was extremly clever or just pure stupidness"

I sighed and sat down next to him. Stefan stood up and walked into the room. 

Stefan "This could've gone so wrong"

I nodded "i know"

Stefan looked at me "I really believed there was no cure"

I nodded "That was the plan"

Stefan "you manipulated me to inject you the cure. You were ready to die, Adelaide"

Me "but i didn't. I knew you would break through"

Stefan scoffed "come on, Adelaide, we both know that you couldn't have known"

I looked down.

Stefan "Just answer one question. What would you've done if i hadn't turn it back on? hm? You were just gonna die?"

I didn't answer. 

Stefan "I injected you that venom. I would've been the reason for your death! If your plan didn't work out and Damon and Caroline got me to turn it back on, how do you think would i have felt? hm? I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if was the reason you're dead"

I didn't look at him. 

Stefan "The other side is gone, Adelaide, god knows where you would've ended up"

I didn't say anything. 

Stefan "Seeing you lying there unconscious, nearly dead, killed me inside. I turned my feelings back on. Then i speeded into the bedroom and looked through the stuff. I found a second syringe in the same box as the venom. I grabbed it and speeded downstairs. You weren't breathing"

I looked down. 

Stefan raised his voice "Adelaide, you weren't breathing when i injected you the cure"

I sighed and drove a hand through my hair. 

Stefan " I wasn't even sure if you were even going to wake up."

I took a deep breath. 

Stefan "Adelaide! "

I looked at him "What?"

Stefan asked irritated"are you even listening to me?"

Me "What do you want me to say? hm? "

Stefan "that you knew that i was gonna turn it back on"

I crossed my arms over my chest "So you want me to lie to you?"

Stefan breathed out frustrated "oh god"

Me "I knew i was taking a risk"

Stefan scoffed "a risk? a risk?  that's beyond taking a risk"

I stood up "Fine! what do you want me to say? hm?"

He just looked at me. 

Me "you had flipped the switch. I've seen you go all ripper before but it was different this time. You weren't the same ripper i already knew. Meaning i had no idea if my plan would've worked out. "

Stefan "you knew the risk"

I stood up and nodded "i know, Stefan"

I walked to him "But i had to try to bring you back. because i knew that if my death wouldn't bring you back then nothing would"

He shook his head "i can't believe you"

Me "I told you last night that i would die for love. I would die for you"

Stefan "Why? Why would you even think about doing that?"

I put a hand on his cheek "because i knew you would do the same for me"

Stefan sighed shaking his head "i can't believe how crazy you are"

I chuckled "what did you expect when you asked me to marry you? hm?"

Stefan smiled softly "You can't even imagine how much i love you"

I smiled happily and kissed him. He kissed me back.
