Next day. Morning. 

I sighed happily and turned around in bed. I giggled when someone pressed me against him. 

Stefan snuggled his head against the crock of my neck and i smiled. 

Stefan muttered "morning, angel"

I smiled and cuddled into him "You can't even imagine how much missed hearing you call me that"

Stefan smiled and kissed the crock of my neck "angel. My angel"

I giggled. 

He sighed when my phone buzzed. 

Stefan looked at me "It's buzzing again."

I looked at him confused "again?"

Stefan nodded "Caroline has been calling you for hours now"

I sat up "Why didn't you wake me?"

Stefan sighed and lead his head against the headboard "you needed your sleep. I mean, after yesterday-"

I rolled my eyes to cut him off when he began to smirk. 

Me "I understand"

He chuckled and i grabbed my phone from the nightstand. 

I answered "Hello?"

Caroline "Adi.."

Me "what's going on?"

At Caroline's and Ric's house. 

I rushed inside and saw officers walking out past me. 

I called out "Care!"

I found her in the living room. I ran to her and hugged her. 

She hugged me back. 

Caroline "Thank you for coming"

I nodded and looked at her "of course"

Caroline "Where's Stefan?"

Suddenly I heard behind me "Hey. i compelled the sheriff to make this case a priority. should bypass some red tape. Where to first?"

Caroline "That's a question for Alaric. He's on the phone with Matt"

Stefan attempted to grab Caroline's luggage " I'll go put this in the car."

Caroline pulled away  "No. Stop. You're not coming."

Stefan "You can't expect me to just sit back wile they are out there"

Caroline" Ric and I can handle it from here. And if you really want to help, then just stay with Matt and work with the police."

Stefan " Caroline, you can't be serious. The twins have been abducted by two sirens, and you expect me to just hang back?"
