Jack Cage: Troubled Ones

THREE

    "Why would we have to kill him?" Mavean asked.
    "Because he's dangerous," Merlyn replied.
    They were chatting at a carpark beside the fight club.
    "What makes him so dangerous again?" Mavean asked.
    "He knows of The Forsaken." Raven replied and Meryln nodded.
    "What the hell?" Mavean exclaimed.
    "Yes. In fact, he is on The Forsaken's most wanted list. Along with other gangs like us. " Raven chuckled
    "Why?" Mavean asked, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes.
    "Know these people?" Merlyn said and showed Mavean a photo of a family.
    "Yes. The Changs. They are responsible for The Forsaken's drug dealing. Made thousands of dollars for them." Mavean replied.
    "Cage killed them all." Meryln said.
    Silence.
    The whole gang was there. The Serpents. Together with two others, The Shadow and The Ruby Eye. All fell into silence.
    "What!?" Mavean yelled.
    "Cage killed them all. Eliminated all their helpers as well. We figure he knows what happened to those who went missing. He has critical information that could bring The Forsaken down." Raven replies and Aaron nods, twirling his dagger.
    "Then we can't kill him. We need him. Alive. For information and an alibi." Mavean says, her hands curling into fist.
    "You don't get it. The more Cage remains alive, the more The Forsaken gets angry. It will only be a matter of time before The Forsaken decides to go attack mode and kill us all." Meryln states.
    "Since when were you the leader of The Serpents?" Mavean asked Meryln and Meryln gulps.
    "You need to get that information out of him." Raven presses.
    "Once I do?" Mavean asked, crossing her arms.
    "It's up to you. You can kill him and it will be better. Or you can keep him alive and endanger a lot of innocent people." Aaron states.
    "If he really did kill the whole Chang family, then he could be a valuable asset. We need all the help we can get." Mavean states, no guy can just walk in and kill that whole wretched family.
    "At what cost? Thousands of lives? One life or thousands Crimson. Cage will understand. It's really your call. You decide. This meeting is now concluded. Bottom line. Mavean you need to get the information out of Cage. The fate of everyone rests in your hands. And make a decision on whether Cage lives or dies." Raven states and walked off.
    After that, everyone got into vans and went off. Mavean took off her mask and took a deep breath. She didn't know why she was so hesitant to kill Cage. She didn't even know him well. All she knew was that he was an asshole. So why was she finding it so hard to say I'm going to kill him? She sighed and walked home, battering her head to make a decision.

    A few minutes after the meeting, a phone rang from inside the fight club. A man picked it up.
    "The meeting has concluded sir. They are sending Crimson to find Cage for the information tomorrow. What should we do?" Came the report from the other end.
    "Under no circumstances is Cage allowed to say anything. Follow Crimson. Find Cage, then kill them both," said the man.
    "Yes boss."
    Then the line went dead.

    Cage woke up early in the morning and dragged himself out of bed to go to school. He had a funny feeling about the day. Like something eventful was going to happen. Bad things to be exact. He clenched his fist and relaxed it to check if it was still hurting.
    It was. Which was bad. If he had a funny feeling about a day, he is often right. And he was injured. Excellent.
    Cage sighed and wore his school uniform and packed extra clothes. He then headed off to school.
