Jack Cage: Troubled Ones

TWENTY- ONE

    Crimson looked at the Glock, then she looked at Laurence.
    "What are you gonna do Crimson? Come on, end it," Laurence said.
    "No... not like this," Crimson said, tossing the Glock said.
    "A bullet is mercy for you. I'll carry out your true sentence," she said, and she walked over to a petrified Laurence.

    Cage lay on the bathroom floor. He was in a lot of pain, more than he had ever been in in a while. He was just waiting to hear the gun shot, but instead heard Crimson tossing the gun aside. Then, he heard a lot of bones cracking, Laurence screaming, and finally, one last crack, which Cage assumed was the neck, and Laurence didn't say a thing or scream.
    Cage got on his feet and went to where Crimson was standing. He was shocked at what he saw. Crimson had broken every limb in his body. His back, his arms, his legs, his ribs, his neck. Everything.
    "Wow," Cage said.
    "Like you said, I've waited a long time to do this," Crimson said.
    Then, she took off her mask to reveal her face. Both their faces had cuts and bruises, but they laughed anyway. Then Cage touched her cheek and said, "You're free now, like I promised."
    Mavean smiled and said, "I didn't do it alone."
    They stared at each other smiling for a while, then, out of the blue, Cage kissed her. Mavean was taken aback, but she went with it. He put his hands on her waist and they kissed like they would die if they stopped.

Merlyn ran and joined the fire fight and instantly shot down 3 attackers.
"Where's Crimson and Cage?" Aaron asked.
"Dealing with the antagonist," Merlyn said.
"They better have killed him," Raven said, firing bullets.
    "Let's hope they didn't get killed," Aaron said.
    "They won't. I mean like. It's Jack Cage and Crimson. They are like a power duo, so I doubt they would die this way," Merlyn said.
"Let's hope," Raven said, firing more bullets.
At that moment, Cage and Crimson walked onto the scene and dumped Laurence's body in front of everyone for all to see.
"Your leader is dead!" Crimson yelled.
"Surrender! All of you!" Cage demanded.
Everyone looked in shock. The leader of The Forsaken. Dead on the floor. Raven, Aaron and Merlyn stared horrified at the identity of the leader of The Forsaken.
"It's over. The Forsaken is finished. Go home you all. Live an ordinary life, you don't have to work for this bitch anymore," Cage said.
The members of The Forsaken then put down their weapons as a sign of surrender. Crimson nodded to Aaron, who then escorted them out. Cage looked at Crimson and said, "You did it. You stopped The Forsaken."
Crimson laughed and said, "You make it sound like I did it alone."
Cage and her laughed some more before Merlyn gave the signal to Crimson that it was time to go.
Crimson told them to get into the van first, so she could be with Cage.
Once the coast was clear she took off her mask and asked Cage, "Is this goodbye then?"
Cage wrapped his arms around her and said, "No chance Mavean."
They smiled and kissed again. Then, Mavean went to the van and blew Cage a kiss and put her mask back on. Cage found himself extremely happy. He didn't know he'd come to this, love. He was also surprised how quickly things escalated between them.
Cage threw aside all the weapons he had on him at that point and went outside the mall. He found the nearest bus stop and waited for the first bus. When it came, Cage stuck out his thumb, and hitched a ride, not knowing where on earth he was going.
A drifter, drifting in the wind.
Good win, Cage thought. Good win...
