Anticipate. Think. Outsmart. Beat.
Cage's tactics to fight. Most of all, win. Cage heard the door open and quickly looked for a place to hide. He found a cupboard. Cage took the Glock and got ready. The room door opened next. Cage knew if he took a peak, he could get killed. For all he knew, it could be an assassin with 20 years of training. He wasn't going to take the chance. He was in no condition for another fight. He then remembered something.
He took down the photos.
It was only a matter of time before he realised. Cage was going to be found, one way or another. He crouched lower till he could see the reflection. He saw the man's shoes. He estimated given the size and the leather shoes that it was not a teenager. Roughly 20 years old. He took an estimate. One deep breath. Then he sprung out and fired three times.
Bang Bang Bang.
Two shots to the chest, one to the head.
Cage heaved a sigh of relief. He then looked at the body. No one he recognised. Then he looked into the bag. One camera. Cage took the wrench and smashed it. He then saw photographs. He looked at them. They were photos of a gunfight. Just less than an hour ago at the fight club. He saw Crimson opening fire and dropping bodies. He then compared the photo with the one that was taken of him and Mavean. He then took the photographs and headed off.
*Crimson safely led everyone out and told them to go rest. They have a big few days coming up.
"Do not forget your mission Crimson. Bring him in," Aaron said.
"What did I say about commanding me? Don't worry I will. Better watch your tone Aaron," she shot back.
Mavean took off her mask and changed to regular clothes. She then walked along the street. It was 6pm and she was hungry. She sat at a restaurant and ordered some food. She took out a file Raven gave her. She opened it. She was Cage's face. Junior Major Jack Cage to be precise. Commander of the 100th Junior Division. She was surprised. But it made sense. No one could do what Cage did without certain training. She then remembered tomorrow there was school which meant dollars to doughnuts she was going to see him. Cage didn't know she was Crimson, at least she hoped. At least like this, she can talk to Cage easier. She figured he'd prefer to talk to someone who wasn't hiding behind a mask. But she had to be a good liar cause she knew Cage was smart. And according to the file, he was the smartest detective.
Her food came and she put the file away to eat in peace. The fate of the gangs rested in her hands. She thought about why she couldn't just kill Cage. Was it just for information? Or was it something else? No. She didn't love him. She can't. If she cares about someone, something bad would happen. She could feel it.
She dismissed the thought and ate.
*Jack Cage stared at the photographs. He didn't know what to believe. Obviously there has to be someone spying on him. Probably they are watching him right now. With a sniper rifle or a pair of binoculars? He didn't know. He closed his windows and curtains and ordered Lola's Café, along with coffee, black no sugar. Cage kept the picture of himself and Mavean and Crimson opening fire side by side. He was missing something. He just didn't know what. He took a pair of scissors and cut out Mavean's picture and then did the same for Crimson. They were shot at the same angle. Ok, so what? He looked harder. The body shape. Cage figured it out. He then looked at the stack of files that the Changs had kept. Cage wanted to look at them tomorrow. He had done his bit of investigation. He had to put in priorities.
He was certain that Crimson will confront him tomorrow after school and if anything, Cage was hoping she would. Cause he had questions for her.
