"Unless," Levi rubbed his jaw, unaware he was talking out loud. "Unless I could make her hate them for the evil they really are."

Lilly turned towards him, tossing the covers off her. Even in the dim streetlights, which shone through the window, Lilly was breathtakingly stunning to look at as she slumbered. Levi had been caught up in thoughts of what he was going to do now. Gabriel was the father of her baby even though Levi knew that would count for much if Lilly knew the truth.

Levi kissed, ever so gently, the head of the woman he loved. Carefully Levi maneuvered the blankets to cover up his beautiful redeemer, wishing that it were his child she was carrying. A part of him ached to hold her in his arms tightly, though he would not dare touch her without permission. Oh, how he wished, he could tell her everything would be ok, but even he couldn't make that promise.

Everything had changed now because of this baby. Maybe the prophecy would be right, maybe it would be wrong, but either way, he knew he couldn't stand around and watch Lilly suffer. Levi glanced at the ultrasound picture in Lilly's hand. It was a dark tiny mass with a flickering heartbeat, still, Levi knew no matter what Lilly would fight for this child to live. It was that knowledge which had brought them together and sealed both their fates. Levi would die to protect her and the child. He would love and nature that child as if it were his own, due to that reason he had to work things out with Cayn as undoubtedly there was little time before news would get out.

Seeing Lilly like this reminded him their night together; the memory tainted with the guilt of what he had done. How his lack of impulse control had hurt her so deeply. Levi knew it would take a miracle for Lilly to find it in her heart to love him. Their blood bond had shown him just how wounded she had felt when he left her with Cayn after saving her life. If he had only known how things would have turned out, he would have never have left her like that. The baby she was carrying should have been his.

From what Uziel had told him, Gabriel was a killer of the utmost ruthlessness. It had been Gabriel who had killed Uziel after all. Oh yes, a member of the Order and ex-Cursed one shot Uziel in the head without a second thought.  All the more tragic, Uziel had been sitting in a hospital room, holding the hand of his beloved Harper. Gabriel killed them both and all because Uziel had fallen in love with a half demon. Only by a stroke of luck was it that Levi had stumbled upon Harper who had returned to hell after her earth body died. She had begged Levi to save Uziel but the Cursed One was already in limbo. The only thing keeping him there was the love Harper held for him and that, they two, shared a blood bond. Levi could still picture the look upon Harper's face, watching as Levi gave a part of himself to save her lover.

Levi wasn't stupid, he had worked out that Michael was also Harper's father; it was whom her mother that was making Levi nervous. Surely it was a demon but who? He knew it hadn't been Lilith as Lilly was the only child she had ever had. One day, once Michael and Cayn were dead, he would tell Lilly and Harper that they were sisters but for now, it was easier to keep it a secret. Levi had no intention of getting on Harper's bad side, not since he learned that she could kill the Fallen with a kiss. Levi was still trying to figure out how to do the impossible...Make Uziel and Harper human.

Oh yes, the sweet, innocent, Harper was a killer. She would never do it intentionally, at least not before she had been murdered herself. Now she was in Hell, waiting for the time when some young fool would invoke evil-doing, and allow the girl to overtake their body. If that was not to happen, then Harper would have to wait until Levi fulfilled his promise of making her human. Uziel on the other hand, was now something mysterious: not a demon, yet tied to one; not alive, yet not dead. As well, Uziel had absorbed some of Levi's talents, leaving him able to cross world with his astral self, but not his body.
