(Boys POV)

Jude walked over to Cayn, punching him square in the jaw, watching as the demon stumbled backwards. Three days of living in Lilly's house, working with the Fallen and Jude was sick of it. No matter how much faith he had lost in the people of his homeland nothing would make him enjoy working with the Fallen. Cayn also had a tendency to just get under Jude's skin, but until that moment Jude had resisted hitting him. Paige rushed to his side, glaring at Jude. Casually Jude flipped her the bird.

"You'll pay for that Cursed one, I think you forget, we can kill you." She hissed.

"You can but you won't." Jude smiled knowingly; he had heard that threat a million times before.

If that other demon, Amy had been around, Jude would have had a fight on his hands but Paige was all talk from what he had seen. Actually, it surprised Jude at how long it had taken him to do it. The first day had been hard; allowing all those Fallen to return to where they had come from, it went against every moral fiber left in his body.

Tonight had been different, though. He had watched the fear in her eyes, only a glimpse before she was gone. Cayn had walked in her dream, something Jude had thought a rumor. It had been weird to watch, let alone experience. Jude had watched from the shadows, watching as Cayn spoke words to intimate for Jude to have to hear. Lilly had held strong. She was tough and safe. She resisted Cayn. Right up until she had let him kiss her. Jude would have lost it then but Cayn controlled the dream and therefore everyone who was in it.

"Paige I'm fine, plus, I'm pretty sure he thinks I deserved it." Cayn stood, dusting himself off. "Do you really want to punch this out or are you good for now?" he asked, quite relishing the idea of having a fight. It had been far too long since Cayn had a worthy opponent and nothing would sooth his soul better than knocking that smug Cursed one out.

"Depends, you willing to play fair?"

"I obey the rules better than most. You want to use me for a punching bag, fine, bring it on. I can be a gentleman when I want to. Besides a good fight could benefit both of us right now." Cayn declared taking his shirt off. He was left in cutoffs and a tank top. Jude was still in linen pants and a cotton shirt. He pulled the shirt over his head, leaving him bare-chested.

Another blow from Jude landed in the same spot as the last. Cayn's head shook, he was getting annoyed. He waited for Jude to kick again, this time catching his leg and taking him to the floor. Cayn was in his element as punch after punch landed. Jude struck Cayn's face, trying to defend but it was pointless, Cayn had the advantage.

"Here drink this." From out of nowhere appeared Paige. The girl shoved a bottle of water in his face. Jude was to bruised to make fun of the fact that she clearly not happy to be serving him. Jude cocked a bloody eyebrow at Cayn.

"I told you I obey the rules. Drink, don't drink, it's not going to kill you." Cayn replied to the unasked question.

Jude took the bottle and guzzled down the water. It was cool and refreshing. He turned to hand the bottle back but Paige was gone, not that Jude cared. He threw the bottle to the corner of the room.

"I won," Jude declared.

"Huh?" Cayn questioned.

"Clearly I was the better fighter."

"Yeah, I don't think so princess but..." Cayn huffed. "If that helps you sleep at night."

Jude grinned "I knew you would see it my way."
Paige re-appeared this time with water and ice. Jude knew the left side of his face was gonna be hurting tomorrow. He could feel his eye already shutting to swell shut.
