Wonwoo is peacefully scrolling on his phone's screen (reading a book online) when someone stops in front of him, clearing his throat hesitantly.

Wonwoo looks up and immediately makes eye contact with Seungcheol. He doesn't say anything, and Wonwoo looks at him expectantly.

"I know you don't want to see me, but I really hope that you'll let me talk to you." Seungcheol finally says. "I wouldn't forgive anyone who did that to me so I understand if you won't, but I just really wanted to let you know the truth."

"The truth?" Wonwoo asks, unsure if he even wants to know.

"I don't even think you'll believe me," Seungcheol mutters. "Please listen to me, though, I'm begging you."

"Just tell me. I'll see if I believe you when I hear it." Wonwoo replies cautiously.

"Okay." Seungcheol agrees. "Thanks. For being willing to listen at all."

Wonwoo nods, and for some reason, he feels weird. It feels like Seungcheol is back to who he was when he and Wonwoo, well - but Wonwoo is so confused right now.

"Can we go somewhere private?" Seungcheol asks after looking around at the many people they were surrounded by.

"Sure," Wonwoo answers, and stands up. He follows Seungcheol awkwardly, until they reach a quiet area. Seungcheol sits down, and Wonwoo sits a small distance away from him.

"I know what I did was wrong." Seungcheol starts. "So wrong that wrong is probably a word that isn't enough to describe it."

Wonwoo agrees and stays silent.

"It was a dare, you know that." Seungcheol says quietly. "I think I told you on... that day."

Wonwoo feels his chest hurting, and he bites his lip nervously, fixing his gaze on the bench below him.

"People are stupid, they do really, really stupid things for popularity. Sometimes they end up hurting who they love most in the process." Seungcheol says. "But they can't see what they've lost until it's too late. They can't see that it isn't worth it, nothing is worth hurting someone you love."

"What are you...saying?" Wonwoo asks quietly. "Are you saying you did it for..."

"Yes, I know I was stupid and immature and just so... so blind for just following what they told me to do." Seungcheol's voice is different. It's desperate and softer than it had been these past months, and Wonwoo just feels more hurt - it reminds him of the good old days.

"I..." Wonwoo chokes out. "I don't know what to say."

"It's okay. I'm not expecting you to understand why I did that, because honestly, you're way too kind and smart to actually do something like that." Seungcheol says. "You're not a stupid asshole. You're not pathetic like me."

"You...called me that, on that day..." Wonwoo mumbles.

"I know. That's not how I feel about you." Seungcheol says quietly. "I have never felt that you were pathetic in any way."

"Do you even know how much I suffered because of those words you said to me on that day?" Wonwoo murmurs. "You made me feel like the most important person in the world, then you made me feel like the most pathetic loser in the world on that one morning."
