Hey! I'm Carmen. I have been a big Grey's Anatomy fan for many years and one of my favorite couples happens to be Jolex. So I decided to write about them. I have read countless fanfics about the show and one thing I have noticed is the way people portray Jo is off. She is always either too sweet or too violent. Just because she has done violent things doesn't mean she is going to rip Alex's head off because he made a mistake. This is okay though, because I know Jo is a complicated character. She is sweet but more importantly, she is tough (and not in a bad way). She is also smart. The girl is a Harvard graduate. I want to make sure I stay true to her character when I am dealing with her reactions to situations in this book.
Another character who is portrayed wrong is Izzie. Although she was never my favorite, she almost always had her best intentions at heart. She was dramatic sometimes, but she was also understanding and compassionate.
Alex is the last person I am going to talk about for now because for some reason he is always written as over- sensitive. Can you tell me the last time we have seen Alex bawling on the flour because of a break up? I mean the last time we have seen him close to tears was in season 13 and even then he never cried.
Everyone puts their own spin on characters but I want to stay as true to the originals as I can because I feel that you get the full experience that way. Also disclaimer: I am a experienced writer and have been doing this for a while (I have another account with just originals) but even I make mistakes. I am only 17. If you see one I'm sorry.
