The living room had a nice thin television display of the news. What's more, the news wasn't just any news; it was a reflection about what happened yesterday. The camera's caught the flashes of Alexandria's powers and the bandit gang that was coming after her and her mother. However, the news report stated to watch out for Alexandria Ferris and her mother, as well as the gang who was coming after them.

The Pulse was already on the look out for Alexandria and her mom. Ms. Ferris had a lot of contacts within the US, and she was sure to find someone close enough in Ohio.

"I know some people who might help us. But, we need to stay under the radar. Any call that I make would have to be worth it, because they could be tracking." But they are tracking, or they might already be tracking them? Maybe The Pulse would come and help Alexandria, or they might kill her daughter? What then? How would Ms. Ferris move on with her life if her daughter was shot and dead? No. She couldn't be thinking like this. There was an alternative. One that would definitely work. One that would keep herself and her daughter alive for a long while. They had people who could protect Alexandria and others like her.

"Then call them mom. We can't be on the run forever. I thought we were going to live in Maine. Away from the bug cities." Alexandria was upset when she spoke about moving to Maine. She still didn't understand why they had to move across the country just for a job that somehow meant to say better compared to the one in Timber Creek, California?

There must have had been a different reason.

"Wait mom!" Alexandria piped up before her mom dialed the first number. "Who were those people that were coming after us/me?" Alexandria asked as she leaned forward with anticipation as she was sitting on a comfy couch cushion.

Mom was holding the handle of the cell phone before hovering her hand across it. The free hand was shaking. She coursed a hand through her hair and took another shaky breath.

"Professor Xander had sent them. He- he- ah." She took a sip of her coffee that was on the coffee table that she had out there earlier this morning, and thought about how fortunate she was that her credit was still valid and not declined.

Maybe they were tracking her through the use of her credits that she was paying with?

She needed to stop feeling paranoid and get on with calling her contacts. She looked at her daughter and nodded at her.

"It seems that he had known of a prophecy about you when you were born. A prophecy that could shape the world." Said mom. Alexandria furrowed a brow through dismay. She was unsure if she was being serious or not.

"You've kept this from me for seventeen years mom?!" She was astonished. Eyes wide with fear, shock, and anger all at the same time. How come her powers had never been tapped before yesterday? What was holding her back all this time? Why now....

"I am going to make those calls really quick now. Once done we're going to need to get our bags again, and leave."

I'm so happy that some of you guys are getting into my book! It means a lot to me! Feel free to tag people and comment on my book/vote for it! I would love any constructive criticism that will help me out in the near future!

Next chapter is going to be another flashback.
