Flashback.
February 26th, 2017.
Location: Henry's Pub and Grille
It's late at night, but Seattle is still as busy as a hive of working bees at this time of night. Driving in her car, Ashely turns up the radio for Seattle's News Channel.
"There's been a report of a Bank Robbery in Downtown Seattle. Where a band of Rebels who have attacked. Most, if not all of them were poisoned with their special magic abilities. Please be sure to keep a sharp eye out and be careful. The Pulse is on a look out for any associates who advocate for the Rebels. Repeat this is not a drill. All those who are affiliated with any of the Rebels will be taken and questioned." There was a static and the radio died.
However, just seconds later the radio went back to playing music. Ashley's heart was pounding as she rounded another intersection after she waited for the lights to change. "What in the hell have I gotten myself into..." She thought to herself, and hoped that this little meeting didn't mean that she would have to run from everything. She understood now how dangerous meeting Alexander was. Especially when she discovered that he could have possibly helped some of the other Rebels steal from a bank.
The thought of Alexander stealing from a bank shocked her. He was such a nice guy. How could he have possibly stolen from the bank? Unless his behavior was all pretend? It could be possible. But, then again Alexander's behavior felt genuinely real. He was so kind to her, and it seemed like he wouldn't hurt anyone or anything; not even a fly or a baby.
Moments later of deep thought and self conscious driving. She managed to reach to her destination, Henry's Grille. She was glad to be here. However, the memories of them coming here on multiple occasions seemed to slowly escape her. She didn't know how to feel, or what to say. Ashely parked her car in the parking lot after finding a spot to park. Parking wasn't hard. It was actually quite simple; even on a night quite like this. A night quite like this that didn't include being jailed and questioned. A night like this where Alexander was supposed to take her out to dinner and have a nice calming afternoon. There was nothing on the schedule about Alex being chased by The Pulse...
Ashely took a breath. Placed her car in park. Took out her keys. Stepped out of the car. Grabbed her purse. Locked the car. Then headed into the building. Not expecting anything from Alex. She felt so many different emotions, she didn't understand what most of them were as she was getting closer and closer to the front door of the building.
Ashely opened the door and the doorbell had that nice ring sound to it once opened and closed. Ashely appreciated the authenticity that they continued here at the restaurant. She looked around for Alexander. Hoping that he would be here. In fact he was, he had a dark cloak on, his hood was draped over his head as he was sitting at the booths closest to one of the windows. He looked up as the door ringed, one if the employees behind the counter welcomed Ashely. She nodded. Then headed over to Alexander, not so sure what to think of him yet.
