Flashback.
February 26th, 2017. Seattle, Washington.

Looking over the city of Seattle, it was a beautiful night, and the sun was just about to set. Leaving day with it, and night following after it. Slowly thought and as always like clockwork.

A very young Ms. Ferris was watching the activity of Seattle drive throughout the beginning of nightfall. It's streets and buildings all lit up the night sky, illuminating a warm glow beneath the dark warm/cool colors of the sunset.

Bright blue eyes wandered around as Ms. Ferris stood on top of a tall parking tower. She waited. Waited. She even texted on her phone, wondering when her partner was going to show up. The beautiful woman was about to leave the building, thinking that she parked at the wrong parking tower in Seattle.

As she was about to reach the first set of parking spaces her phone buzzed. She picked it up and clicked the answer button, not bothering to read who's name was on the caller ID.

"Ashely? Is that you?" A man's voice echoed from inside the phone. Ashley nodded and replied.

"Yes Alex it's me. What's going on where are you?" Ashley asked through a paranoid and irritated tone of voice. She furrowed a brow and stopped walking.

"I'm in trouble. I need your help sweetheart." Alexander said through the phone. For a couple years these two have been dating, but Ashely never knew the secret about Alexander and his magic.

"What's going on love?" Ashely looked around, an overwhelming sensation of skepticism and caution was filling her system of nerves.

"It's The Pulse. They're after me. It might be Professor Xander, but I'm not sure?" Alexander said with a heavy breath. Ashely could hear the heavy breathing in the background. The heavy footsteps running through a street, cars beeping. Bang. Ashely jumped. There was a gunshot echo too. What happened to Alexander?

"Alexander what's going on with you?!" She asked through a sense of fear and anxiety.

"Meet me at Henry's Grille. They won't be able to find me for awhile. I lost them an hour ago." When Alexander mentioned about The Pulse, Ashely was sure she heard wrong.

"Excuse me, Alex did you say The Pulse? Are they really after you? I know you are a Rebel, but didn't know you had done something already..." Ashely's voice was trembling as she spoke.

"I-I'm one of them..." Alexander answered the question about The Pulse, and his response echoed a sense of guilt through his diction. Ashely could register the sullen tone the man spoke.

"I-I." She took a deep breath. Her breath cackled over the audio. "I can meet you there." Ashely confirmed and hung up her phone after saying, "I love you." She went into the parking tower and unlocked her vehicle and slipped in the driver's seat. She ignited the engine and shifted the gear into driving and headed out into the busy streets of Seattle. Hoping to reach to her boyfriend in time and maybe hoping to find him not so hurt and damaged.
