"But you promise."

"I didn't recall. All I say is 'maybe ' not 'promise' to with you." I said to my friend, Carrie. Who huffs in frustration and anger just because I didn't really promise but think of going to this event that is happening on Saturday in Ohio. And I was planning on not going to this event whatever it is, she didn't went on full details about this event is about or the the name of it but one thing for sure she planning something that could get us in trouble and I wasn't going if at what  she plan on lying to her parents where she going to be at. And the problem is I stopped making promise to someone and make sure no made a promise for me because one I learned two years ago is that they intended to break them and hurt you. I experienced that when someone break their promise and I know that is childish but those promise were important to me but when they ask me to promise them something they all get upset about so that why I don't make no promise to someone for any reason at all.

"Okay, but can you just come with me and some other friends." She pleaded.

"Why? You got some people coming with you anyway, why me too. And you haven't told what this event is about."

"It's a surprise." Sounded little too happy about something. And I know when she get too happy she planning on something.

"A surprise? What for?"

"For your birthday, silly."

"FYI you and I know that my birthday isn't for another month. So, it's not for my birthday, so there's got to be another reason why." I give her my look saying tell me the reason why and I might consider going.

"Fine," she sighed in frustration knowing I get to her eventually. "The real reason I wanted to go to Ohio is there going to a big concert there our favorite singer, Colin Blake and after the concert I know someone is throwing a huge house party. So, are you in or are you out."

"No."

"Fine than its your loss." And she started walking back inside her house. We been outside since I got here and that was an hour ago.

"Carrie? Carrie?" As I try to call her to listen to what I have to about this it was already too late she inside.

"Urged." I slammed my blue sedan gmc car door in frustration. Great now I'm going be frustrated for the night because of Carrie. I came home to my house on Rogers Rd.

"What did the car ever do to you?"  I hear someone said. I  look up to the house next to mine and see  boy sitting on the a porch swing and it look he was reading a book and I disrupted his peace and quiet moment. And there are few yards lights on the grounds leading up to the house and the porch light is on.

"Who are you? I'm sure that  Mrs. Hanson don't have a son, I been visiting her almost every day." I said, curious who he is and also ignores what he say. I walk up half way to the walk way.

"She doesn't. I'm her nephew, umm-"

"Well, hi umm. I'm, Jayla, but some people call me, Jay for short. And I lived next door." I pointed to the light gray two story house with an pine tree in the front yard and flower that goes up a path to the house. Where his aunt house is also a two story but two week ago she repainted to a light brown before it was light  blue and she has a few flowers around the yard and a pine tree on the side of the house.

"Funny, but that's not my name. My name is Kenny, but I go by, Ken, and I'm staying with my aunt for the summer." He patted his hand on the porch swing to an empty spot next to him.. I don't if I should. I was about to make an excuse telling him I  have to go help my mom with something. "I won't bite. But if I do I give you full permission to punch me in the face." he smile and when he smile he have a dimple on his smile. And since I got better look at him, He is probably about 5'9 with auburn brown hair and silver blue eyes and he have little of an athletic body.  It's kind of cute. But the strange part is that he looks familiar but I can't put my finger on it. It's like I seen him before but where, is the question.
