Chapter Thirteenth

I went next door to see if Ken is home, sure I could of called or text him but I didn't want. It's just after ten something that I waiting at the door for about six minutes before deciding to text him.

Ken,
Hey, sorry with aunt won't be back around noon. I'll let you know when I'm back.

So I went back and started binge watching action movie to pass the time. I only have few hours until he comes back wherever he is. Mom and Logan are out for the day don't know when they be back. Dad is at the restaurant.

It's almost one in the afternoon when I hear a vehicle next he must be home now. Hurry up from the couch and ran next door to see if he wanted to go see this movie that just came out. It's a scientific movie.

When I walk across the yard it wasn't Ken its a man in a suit. He probably in his late thirties with black hair and he's wearing a sunglasses. The man turn around and look down at me. I stand just before the porch-stairs.

"Do you know where Colin is?" The man said in deep voice. But I was confused wondering who's Colin is. The man probably got the address that what I thought.

"I think you might got the wrong address. There no one with the name live there." I can tell I was getting on his nerves the way he looked.

He signed in frustration. "Look kid, is this the address." he started reading off the address which is right but I think he got the name confused with someone else. "Then where is he. Colin?"

I was about ask him if confused with someone else or that he in the wrong town maybe. When a car parked in front of the house. I hear the man say finally under his breath and as he walk pass by me, he kind of pushes me out of the way. When Ken got out of car the man started talking to him. Ken doesn't look happy to see him, he got this hard expression on. But then he saw me and his softened up a bit. I don't know what going on but I wanna know.

Ken came walking towards me until there some space between us.

"Hey." He said with less enthusiastic.

"Hey. How come the man keep asking for Colin? He thinks he lived here?" I said to him. "I told him there no Colin that lived here."

"Look Jayla, there something I need to tell you. And I don't know how you going take it but before I tell you just know that I had great time spending time with you these past months and that's nothing change I'm still me." he waits for me to say something but I didn't so he finally say what he needed to say. "My real name is Colin."

I was shocked that I didn't know what to do or say. But while trying to process his aunt and the man went inside the house. Wait why lie about about who you are.

"Why you lie about your name. Are you in some sort of trouble?"

"No. I needed to get away from all stress."

"If not then why change your name."

"To keep a low profile. From all the stress from fans and promoting music and doing some other things."

"Colin as in Colin Blake from Milestones."

"Yeah." is all he say. This whole time I been hanging out with him and started having feelings. I should put the pieces together or if figure it out who he even was if he changes his appearance and the way he be acting when someone asks him questions about him.
