You may, or may not be aware that Chapter thirty-four was sadly the last chapter of Enigmatic. However, I have now begun to write the sequel, Sacrifice, which the first chapter of should be posted some time within the next few days. I would like to thank all of the people that voted for/commented on Enigmatic, you guys really were what kept me writing. You made me laugh, sometimes made me cry even more than I had whilst writing the emotional scenes. You guys really are awesome.
So, as a treat for being so amazing and to show my appreciation... here is a quick preview of the first chapter of Sacrifice. Enjoy!

"She eats like an animal!" Zeke cried, his eyes widening.
I grinned and held back my laugh.
"You try eating for two, Zeke! I need all I can get!" Talulah cried, placing a hand on her bulging stomach.
"I wish I could eat that much and not get fat." Lu grumbled, irritatedly dropping her apple on the table. "It's just not fair."
"I'm not encouraging single parenting, but being pregnant is the best excuse for being a fatty." Talulah grinned.
"So basically you're saying that I am allowed to get pregnant, but you want me to have a boyfriend first." Lu replied, raising an eyebrow.
"Trust me. It'll be a hell of a lot easier."
"Eh, excuse me?!" I cried. "I've basically been your slave for the entirety of your pregnancy... You can't say anything about not having it easy!"
"That's such a lie!"
"Oh really?" I raised both my eyebrows and turned to look at Lu and Zeke. "I had to do her boots up this morning, apparently her belly's too big to reach!"
Talulah giggled. "It gets in the way!"
"You're seriously playing on this!" Lu said, grinning. "Good girl."
She reached across the table and high-fived Talulah, and I rolled my eyes.
"Don't encourage her!"
Talulah giggled again and bit into a muffin. I reached out for my cup, and just as it was about to reach my mouth, Talulah grabbed my free hand. This movement jerked my entire body, and a small amount of water spilt from my cup, landing right in my lap, and all down my chin.
"Tee, what are you doing?!" I cried, and quickly put the cup down.
"It's kicking, feel!" She pressed my palm into the side of her stomach.
I wiped my chin with my sleeve, and waited to feel it. "It's not doing anything..."
"Wait for it.."
The second the words left her lips, I began to feel a small thumping against my hand. My eyes widened and I pulled my hand away quickly, before cautiously putting it back again. A few moments later, I felt it again and a grin found it's way onto my face.
"Holy shit, that's awesome!" I breathed.
Talulah smiled. "I do hope you won't be using that language around my baby once it's arrived."
"Of course not." I replied, and pulled my hand away.
"Ugh, you make me feel broody." Isla groaned as she took a seat beside Lu. She glanced behind her, then spoke again. "I wonder if Four would father my children, imagine how beautiful they'd be."
"Not a chance." Four grumbled as he came up behind her and took a seat on her free side.
Isla turned her head to look at him and placed a hand on his hand. "Please?"
He glared at her hand and pulled his away from her. "Never."
She leaned her head on his shoulder and pouted. "Please..." She fluttered her lashes and moved her hand under the table. I assumed that she put it on his thigh.
"Seriously, Isla. Stop touching me." He moved her hand, then pushed her head off of his shoulder. "No."
She laughed and sat up properly. "Stop being so frigid."
He rolled his eyes, then looked away from the table.
"Stop being a tormentor!" Lu nudged her. "Go convince Calvin to father your babies."
Isla screwed up her nose. "Nah, he's too... Calvin. I'd rather make babies with Max."
Lu choked on whatever she was drinking, and it spurted out from her mouth. I held my hands up to protect myself from any splashes, and Isla let out a squeal.
Lu coughed a few times, then when she could finally speak, she turned to Isla with wide eyes. "You aren't being serious?!"
"Of course I'm not!" Isla cried. "Have you seen that guy?"
Talulah giggled, and another smile formed on my face.
It felt like it stretched even bigger when I noticed Eric enter the dining hall. The room quietened as he walked through the door, his face emotionless, his grey eyes cold. Until they met mine. They visibly softened, and I knew it was because he'd seen me.
"Here comes trouble." Lu spoke as Eric approached the table, and I pulled a face at her.
"I seem to attract trouble a lot." I said, and she smiled, then shook her head.
"Good meeting?" I questioned once Eric was close enough to hear.
He rolled his eyes. "Don't go there."
"That bad?"
He sighed. "I'm going to go to mine and eat. I just wanted to know if you want to come?"
"Sure." I slowly got to my feet and looked at the others. "I'll see you all later?"
"Sure will." Talulah smiled.
"Great." I smiled, then turned back to Eric.
He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me close to him, then pressed his lips to mine, before pulling back a few seconds later.
"What was that for?" I narrowed my eyes as we walked towards the door.
He pursed his lips, then sighed again. "I ripped the shirt you lent to Ange."
I frowned. "How on earth did you manage that?"
He shrugged. "We sparred a little after the meeting and I grabbed it and I don't know.. it just ripped."
I rolled my eyes. "You are so heavy handed."
"It's not like you to complain."
I punched his arm and he chuckled, then pulled me close again.
"You're paying for a new one."
"I'll pay for as many new ones as you want."
I smirked and vowed to myself that I was going to hold him to that.
I pressed a kiss to his cheek as we exited the dining hall, then grinned at him. "I love you."
"I love you too."
