The rest of the week passed in a flash. Talulah and I had visited Lu after unpacking our things and filled her in on everything she'd missed. After that, I'd gone in search of Calvin, with Lu in tow, to try to work out our problems. He had been stubborn, and had shouted at me a lot about Eric until Lu talked some sense into him and we finally agreed to be civil.

I didn't see Eric that night, but he came and woke both Talulah and I up at six am the next morning, using the excuse that I had to be taken to work. He had actually been ordered to collect me at eight and have me at work by half past, but he had claimed that he wanted to spend time with me first. Unfortunately, our apartments were in complete opposite sides of the compound, so we lost a good twenty minutes on the way to his apartment, but we enjoyed the time that we did have together. We'd laid on the couch together, just talking and making out, and my heart went into overtime every time that we were together.

I had guessed that he had a nicer side to him, but it also surprised me how gentle he could be. He had big, rough hands with scabbed over knuckles, but he treat me like a delicate doll that he could break by squeezing too hard. He had a big heart really, but you needed to get into it to understand that.

We'd determined that Four and Calvin would allow me an hour break at lunch times, and instead of going to the mess hall, I'd go over to Eric's. He'd decided to raid the kitchens for food before they served it, and we ate at his, before more talking, cuddling and kissing ensued. In the evenings I would tell Tee that I didn't stop for lunch because I was heading straight up to the library to do some work there, before continuing my shift in the control room. She'd believe me, and we'd spent all evening chilling or shopping for furniture.

It had been decided that Talulah would start work on the fence on Wednesday morning. Lu was returning to finish the last week of her shift, and Tee was going to travel there with her.

It also meant that I was going to have the apartment to myself for just over a week... And as much as I loved having Tee around, I was looking forwards to it.

"Will you walk a bit quicker?! I'm going to drop this!" Zeke snapped, and I smothered a laugh with a cough.

"Shut up before I push you back down the stairs with it!!" Another Dauntless guy threatened him.

Zeke and the guy were currently in the process of carrying a black couch across the compound to my apartment. Mel had brought a new one, and offered to sell us hers. I could've kissed her when she offered it to us... we still had that smelly orange one because all of the couch's for sale in the store were way out of our price range, especially when we needed to buy other items too.

"Both of you shut up, before I decide to take a nap on it whilst you're carrying it!" Mel muttered.

They both grumbled, but continued to carry it without any more arguments.

It was a struggle to get through the door, and the disgusting orange one was even harder to get out, but eventually it was done.

"I like it." Mel stated, from where she was stood in the centre of the room.

I walked over to her side and nodded. "Yeah it looks okay, thanks for letting us buy it! I don't know what we'd have done without you!"

"Always a miracle worker me!" She grinned. "I think Talulah's going to love it!"

"Me too." I smiled. Talulah and Freddie had gone to grab some dinner for us, so that we could all spend Tee's last night together in our apartment. I was sure that when she got back, she would be really pleased with how the couch looked.

"Right, I'll leave you it. I've still got to get those two to move my couch around for me!" Mel walked towards the door.

"Thanks again."
