The painful past you had, your ails i reconciled.
Without gimmick or guise, gave refuge to confide.
Honest truths I cried, never spewed the usual lies.
Likened to medicine perscribed, a remedy was I.
And duely was my substance abused so in kind.
Loving in my displays, as if a bandage for your pain,
Picked then eventually was peeled away.
Carelessly tossed then implored to remain.
