Ode to Sun and Moon

Hardly slept last night, eyes dared not cave, mind beset, fully ablaze

O moon, dim glow which wades, ere radiating with mystic rays

Ethereal beacons of light, dotting shapes on dreary planes

Spherical being, giver of life, breaks night before it jades

Awoke this morning, mind now a haze, blurred is the gaze

O sun, golden relic of the sprawling sky, such warm, burning flame

Tapers darkness til it fades away, overcoming lush amber waves,

Polarities that vye and trade skies that day and night characterize.

Luminaries of a kind, inspiring minds, far reaching celestial paradise

O beautifully shifting rhythms of this great terrestrial paradigm.
