Part One of Caliginous Chapter:11
I took the gem from Sebastian's sweating hands and went to the Throne room to talk to Queen Sarahina. I almost got lost (again) but then I asked a guard to escort me to the Throne room.
I opened the door to the Throne room and found that the Throne of King Aldrum, Queen Sarahina and Prince Frederick was empty. I got curious, where could they be? I let my curiosity get the best of me because the next thing you know, I'm making my way to one of the guards in the corner. He looked grumpy because he looked at me like I was something he scraped from the bottom of his shoes. He told me that they've gone to the forbidden part of the palace.
"Why is it forbidden, sir?" I asked, but he just rolled his eyes at me like I was something disgusting. Rude much!
I waited for the Queen to come, but after fifteen minutes of impatiently waiting, I got bored, so I decided to sneak into the forbidden part of the palace.
I'm pretty sure a few people would be there since it's forbidden.
"Hi again, sorry to bother you but would you be kind enough to tell me the directions of the forbidden part.. please?" I asked (at some point begged) the same grumpy guard.
"No! I'm not kind if you've noticed and why do you want the location? I thought I told you before that it was forbidden.. do you have a short time memory loss or something?" The guard said, looking annoyed than before.
"Um... so I can do my best to avoid it," I replied (lied)
"Sure mam, just stay out of the west wing, now can you do me a favour and get lost?." The grumpy guard said. Clearly, someone didn't eat their meds today.
"Thanks!" I said, managing not to grab him by his shirt and get on top of him.
When I got to my destination, I saw a big silver door of metal that said "NOT ALLOWED" I could barely read it with all the fungus and grey slime on the door. Seriously, what was that grey slime even made of? I avoided the sign and took out a handkerchief out of my pocket and used it to twist the doorknob of the door. Thank god, the door wasn't locked, cause I had a crazy idea inside my void mind that I would use my hair clip to open it.
I was about to step inside but that's when I heard someone's voice from behind me, it sounded like a woman's voice.
"Where do you think you're going. Your room's on the other side." She said. Her voice reminded me of someone but I still didn't turn around and did the most foolish thing. I ran as fast as I could into the dark place. I heard her shouting from behind "It's dangerous there, come back!" But I disregard and kept running.
