15: The Truth (pt#2)

Previously on Caliginous:

"And how exactly are you sure that Ella is the one who posses Caliginous?" The angry king asked.
"Because I'm the one who put it in her in the first place!"

15(pt#2): The Truth ↓

"What!" I gasped in shock.

The little hope in me vanished because now that I have Caliginous in me. Jake and I can never be together.

"But why?" I managed to say.
"To take revenge from this beast!" The Queen said as she gave a dirty look to her husband, King Aldrum.
"How DARE you call me a beast!" The king yelled.
"Because you murdered my best friend!" The Queen shot back.
"I still don't get why you put Caliginous in me," I said, a little confused.
"Because I wanted to take revenge." The Queen said.
"But why me?" I asked.
"Because my best friend was your mother!" those words echoed in my mind.

WHAT!!! OK, those words hit me like a ton of bricks.

"What!" I gasped in shock (again)

"What!" The king said.
"Oh so now you're a parrot?" The Queen Said.
"You're Anastasia's daughter?" He asked.
"Yes, but why did you kill her? I thought she died because of a sickness." I asked the horrid man who killed my mother.
"Because she told my daughter to run away." The king said.
"No, she didn't you stupid egg." The Queen shouted.

They both called each other words I can't write but when they were done, the king actually ordered the guards to execute both, me and the Queen.

How can the king order the guards to execute his own wife?

"Ella, hurry up say Alchumtro Disdro Home." The Queen said and held my hand. When I repeated those weird words (which were really hard to pronounce) something black shot out of my hands and poof! We were out of the castle and into a very familiar place, my home!

"Wow, did I just use my powers?" I clapped my hands in joy as I asked the Queen.
"Yes, child. Where is your brother?" The Queen asked.
"I have no idea."

Then suddenly, someone hugged me from behind.

"Harison!" I screamed in joy as I hugged my brother.
"Where were you? I was worried sick." Harison said.
"That's not important, we need to stay here for a while," the Queen said," this place is no castle but I'll manage."
"Um, your highness? I think you need some explaining to do." I told her.
"Yeah sure, let's sit down. Where should I start, let's start from the beginning when all the deranged drama started."

Queen Sarahina, Harison and I sat on the sofas in the dining room.

"My daughter, Princess Sofia Rosa Khandikcha, wanted to be a traveller, but my husband, Aldrum, wanted her to stay in the castle-like other princesses. I had a close friend, your mom, Anastasia, who used to come to the castle every day to talk to me. So one day, your mom met my daughter alone, Sofia told her how she wanted to be a traveller and asked your mother for advice. Anastasia told her that she always follows her heart. So after thinking, Sofia decided to run away from the castle to become a traveller. Anastasia tried to reason with her because, without the guards around her, Sofia could die because Aldrum has a lot of enemies but of course she didn't listen and ran away. So later that day, the guards found a dead body of a girl who had the necklace Aldrum gifted Sofia."
"Oh my god, well how did King Aldrum found out that my mother told Princess Sofia to run away," I asked, curiously.
"Because when Anastasia was talking to Sofia, one of the royal guards heard her and told Aldrum, but it was too late to stop Sofia because she ran away by the time the guard told him this."
"Oh," Harison said.

It must be hard for him too.

"Aldrum got so angry that he lost his temper and told four guards to break into this house and murder your mom and so ... they you-know-what your mother. I began to really hate him. So to take revenge of the crime he had committed, I went to my moms' old friend, she was a witch. I told her all that had happened so the witch gave me a golden bottle and told me that it contains one of the most dangerous power in the world called Caliginous."
"Wow.. continue," I told her, now amazed by all of this.

I was still in shock. I always thought my mother died because of a sickness.

"Well, when the moon rose up, I told one of the guards to go to your house and feed one of you that bottle and hoped that one day you'll grow up and take revenge of your mother. I would have drunk the power myself but only infants could gain the power inside of the bottle and I don't think it was Anastasias fault that Sofia ran away. She always followed her heart."
"OH, MY GOD!" I screamed in horror.
"I know it's shocking but you just have to learn to live with it." The Queen said.
"Not that, we forgot to bring Jake and Sebastian along with us!"
