23: The Last Chapter (pt#2)

Previously on Caliginous:

I rushed outside to ask if anyone took the gem for, I don't know, safekeeping? And I saw Queen Sarahina.
"Your majesty! Please tell me you've seen the gem, I've lost it! Um, have you?" I asked eagerly.
"Child, he killed her, he killed the witch, he killed Anna, and he killed my son too. Nothing can stop Aldrum, all of this was a waste of time. I failed you."

23: The Last Chapter. Part two↓

By the time she was done, her face was filled with tears.
"What! Oh my god, go to my room and hide there, I have to check if the boys are OK, go now!" I said and she went to my room.

Oh, my stars! What's happening? You sleep for one hour and the whole atmosphere changes when you wake up... just great! God, I'm so worried. How will I defeat King Aldrum? He killed the poor witch and she was only trying to help.

I got to the throne room and saw Jake and Sebastian both tied up. The king was on his throne, laughing continuously, and the witch and Prince Fredrick were on the floor, dead.

The person who was next to them both, dead, surprised me so much that I had to blink my eyes three times to confirm that I wasn't seeing things because the person next to them was Queen Sarahina.

"What!" I gasped. If that was the Queen then who was that lady, who warned me about all of this, could it be her spirit?!

"F*** you," I mumbled as my knees gave up and I end up falling to the ground. There was nothing I can do. He was far lustier now. I failed them, I failed them all. My eyes betrayed me because thick tears started to fall from my face to my lap. How can it end like this? There's just nothing left to do. He killed Queen Sarahina too. I so badly wanted to ask her about my mother and what was she like but now I can't. I can't do anything. It's over. SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP ME!

"Oh, poor poor, Ella, if only you weren't Anastasia's daughter. I would have thought to spare you but life sucks. Don't worry, you'll finally get to see your mother, of course, Sarahina too," King Aldrum said laughing once more.
"You're a monster." That's all that came out from my dry lips.
"I would've taken that offensive, but nah! I am a monster, can't deny that," he said.
"I'd love to chat some more but I think Anastasia and Sarahina might be waiting," he laughed once again and pulled a sword which was dangling from his waist. Jake tried to scream and tried to break free but he was tied way too tightly.
"Oh, poor boy. Don't worry, you'll be meeting her soon cause you're next," his laughter echoed in the entire throne room and he moved closer to me, his sword in one hand and the bottom of it scratching the bare ground. The tape on Jake's mouth came loose because I guess he was LICKING it, "Please King Aldrum. Don't kill her. I beg of you. I'll do anything," Jake pleaded.
"You'll do anything, huh?" He mumbled, "well then CAN YOU SHUT UP!" He shouted and whispered some words and tape reattached itself to Jake's mouth. He then looked my way again and with a sick smirk plastered across his face, he came closer and with both of his hands, he lifted his sword up, ready to slice my neck. I stumbled backwards crying, "please don't." I said in merely a whisper.

I knew there was no one who could stop him now so I just closed my eyes in fear and... hopelessness and waited for my death to welcome me. I just wanted everything to be over, for everything to filter into Caliginous. I can't believe I would die at this age. I wanted to do so much with my life. I wanted to be with Jake and have a funny friend like Sebastian in my life. I so badly wanted to chat with Queen Sarahina while drinking tea, asking her about my mother and I also wanted to ask the Witch: what was it like three hundred years ago? If only I would've been more careful with the gem. I don't want to die! I'm too young! If I would've known that my life would have ended like this, I would have left this place forever... I just don't want to die!!!

After five minutes, I was kind of confused. Why was King Aldrum not slicing me? Why didn't I felt the sword in my neck? Why am I not dead? Wait! Was this what being dead feel like? I slowly opened my eyes and saw that everything was frozen except for me. The king was frozen with a small smirk on his face. The boys were frozen too cause their sad eyes weren't blinking. What was the heck going on? I looked around the room and spotted a woman, a very familiar woman.

Question: Who do you guys think is the woman? (If I haven't made it obvious)
