I hesitantly pressed down on the plunger and winced as the sticky sludge made its way into my veins, my body felt like glass, I was floating in nothing, nothing was wrong.

I fell back and landed on the hallway carpet, smirking. I was gone. I'd stopped crying and the sky was slowly turning a gentle sapphire colour. I heard the door ring, I couldn't be arsed to get up and open it, I didn't know if I could even get up. Giggling to myself I lay there for what seemed like weeks. "Alice?!" It was Damon. I tried to answer but the only thing that came out was "D-da"

Soon enough he began to kick the door through, he was probably worried sick. He trudged up the stairs, calling my name. "Alice?" The second his eyes landed on my limp, strewn body, his face changed completely, from worried to... Sad. He gave a melancholic smile toward me and knelt by my side "what you been up to then eh? C,Mon love lets get you somewhere more comfortable" he hoisted my body up and carried me to my room, carefully laying me on the bed. I don't remember much after that, I passed out and managed to wake up god knows when, the sky was starting to turn purple, indicating night time was swiftly approaching. God how long had I been out for? I turned to see Damon chewing at his nails watching the passers by out my bedroom window, and the all familiar cracks in the pavement  I croaked his name and he turned to face me, eyes bloodshot. He'd been crying.

"Alice.. I'm so sorry"

"it's fine don't worry about it" I tried to reassure the poor bastard but he wasn't having any of it.

"No it isn't." He replied, a stern tone of authority in his broken voice

He slowly walked over to me and gently kissed my forehead. "I should've never bought it into the house" he murmured. His blue eyes glistening in the light.

I bought my face closer to his and we kissed.
