The days went by. I think Stefan told Damon what was going on but I didn't feel like going to see him. He saw me at my weakest point and I hated that. I didn't want to see him because I didn't like being seen as weak.

I was helping Tyler out with some of the building of the float. We had been kind of up and down since there was so much I couldn't tell him. I saw mom talking to Elena and I got worried. "I'll be right back." I said putting my hand on his arm before going over to her. All the sudden I saw a guy jump on a float and Matt fell. "Oh God." I said as I quickly went over to try and help lift it. Shortly after Stefan came over using his super strength and Matt got out.

I went over to mom and Elena. "What are you doing?" I asked looking at mom angrily.

"Good you're here. I was showing you both how easy it is to hurt the people you love. Now Emmie if you don't get me that device I will kill Elena's brother." She threatened as I looked around for Jeremy worried.

"Jeremy! Jeremy!" Elena yelled but he was nowhere to be seen. I turned to Isobel and she wasn't there.

We needed to talk about what was going on so I suggested we go to dads classroom to talk. Turns out Bonnie could help with the device too. She told us that her ancestor Emily made it. The only problem was that we didn't have it, Damon did.

"I can try to convince him. I mean she said it had to be me anyway." I suggested looking at them.

"He wouldn't give it away. Especially now that we know it hurts vampires." Stefan shook his head lightly.

"What if it doesn't?" Elena asked as she looked to Bonnie.

"Can you make it stop working?" I asked Bonnie standing straighter with hope.

"I think so." She nodded lightly.

"Then let's go see Damon." I insisted before we headed to the Boarding house.

We told Damon the plan and he was as hesitant as expected. "Why would I give the device to Isobel so she can give it to John who's gonna turn around and kill me with it? I like being a living dead person." He explained looking at us.

"Bonnie said she could make it stop working." Elena pleaded.

"I don't trust her." He replied with a hint of a whine.

"I can remove the original spell." Bonnie nodded.

"John and Isobel will never know." Elena explained.

"No. I'll get Jeremy my own way." He shook his head lightly.

"Really? How because Isobel is a vampire and she can break Jeremy's neck before you even take a step inside." Stefan questioned. It was obviously a bad plan.

"Can you even do this? No offense. I mean you're no Emily Bennett. Emily knew what she was doing." Damon crossed his arms.

"I've been practicing." She retorted calmly.

"It's not piano lessons honey." He responded.

Bonnie got up and proceeded to ask Damon his favorite book. Damon answered and Bonnie did a little trick making the said book come off of the book shelf.

"Great parlor trick." Damon fake smiled.

"We have to do this Damon." Elena explained looking to him.

"What's your say in all this?" Damon asked looking at me. I hadn't really said anything since I didn't want to talk to him.

"I think you should hand it over. The more time we argue the more likely she'll kill Jeremy. Bonnie can turn off the device. We need to be safe here and safe is making sure he's okay." I explained looking to him.
