The next day came and I woke up around 10 O'clock. I put on a tank and jean shorts and put my hair into a messy bun. I got downstairs and went for a blood bag in the fridge. I closed the fridge and Kol was behind the door.

I lifted my eyebrows in surprise and then opened the bag. "Are you trying to scare me?" I questioned squinting lightly with a smile.

"No, not completely. How did you sleep?" He questioned as I walked over to sit on the counter.

"Normally I guess." I shrugged lightly. "You?"

"Other than me staying up questioning why you didn't want to kiss me, it was pretty good." He smiled through what seemed like annoyance.

"Oh." I said simply before putting the straw back in my mouth. "It's not you." I added looking at him as he walked over in front of me.

"That's what I told myself because who would reject someone as great as me?" He questioned playfully getting closer. I let out a chuckle and pushed him away softly with my foot before swinging my feet lightly.

"Of course because you are, for sure, the best person to ever be with, ever." I smiled at him playing along.

"Exactly." He replied as I laughed lightly drinking up the blood bag. "Look, I understand that it must be hard, but I can assure you I'm nothing like Nik." He explained calmly and seriously. "If I could choose I'd let you have free reign."

((Shoutout if you get the pun. You'll get it if you read Royals, my TO book :) ))

"Well I wish it was you then. I hate being trapped in here all the time." I sighed lightly. "But like I said I signed up for it." I finished up my blood bag and threw it into the trash. Kobe.

"But I didn't just mean about your service to him, darling. I meant as a person." He explained as I smiled lightly.

"I'm sure you are." I replied. I loved the nickname. Of course he used it for everyone but when he said it with his accent, it just made me smile. "If I'm stuck here I'm sure we'll get to know each other."

"Wonderful." He smiled back as I jumped off the counter and looked up to him for a second. I crossed my arms and a smile crept on my lips. I let out a soft humph and turned to walk away.

I went into my room and started drawing. I heard Klaus downstairs and didn't want to be a part of whatever he was doing. I went through the pages and stopped at the empty one. The sketchbook was almost full. I looked at the last page and took a breath. I had to make this one count.

I began drawing a lightbulb on its side. I felt like making it weird so I drew a fish swimming inside.

I shaded the inside of the bulb a little more when I heard a knock on my door. I closed the book and turned. I got up and opened the door and I surprisingly saw Elijah there.
