Gemini's POV

"Owwww..." Cancer complained.

"Are you ok?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "I tripped over last night during the pillow fight," She confessed. "Scorpio hit my nose with the pillow when I fell and now it hurts." She rubbed her nose.

"Get a grip Cancer, you'll be fine compared to training," Capricorn walked over. "And a sore nose is nothing compared to what I got. My shoulder is pulled."

"Well that's because you were actually punching Saggitarius!" Cancer said defensively.

"Well what can I say, he asks you to punch him 24/7 with an attitude like that..." Capricorn smirked. She seemed to be smirking a lot lately. Probably because she thought she was going to win, with her physical strength and cognitive abilities combined. And also her backstabbing tendencies. She'd probably team up with someone innocent yet smart like Libra and then shoot her from behind with a nerf gun. Thankfully I am smart but not innocent. Although I had to admit, Capricorn was probably one of the most likely to win, along with Aquarius and Aries or Leo. Aries and Leo probably wouldn't win though, they were too busy bickering among themselves all the time. I probably have a high chance of winning too, since I am also quite smart and good at backstabbing.

"Hey Gemini," Aquarius snapped her fingers in front of my face. "No plotting world domination."

"Ok jeez," I muttered. "Just thinking."

We followed the rest of the star signs to the training room.

Once inside the training room, we were told we could try anything we wanted to increase our chances of winning. Capricorn immediately headed off to the corner which taught knotting techniques, while Aquarius headed in the opposite direction to learn how to shoot a nerf gun. I decided I was going to learn how use materials around me to camouflage. I joined Pisces at the table of paint.

"Hi Pisces, what do you think you're good at?" I decided to ask him, hoping to find an advantage.

"Uhh me? I'm ok at art I guess, but that's not really going to help me survive for long..." He mumbled.

"Hey didn't that dude survive for a while by hiding in the movie?" I said hopefully.

He shrugged and went back to covering the dummy's hand with dirt and black paint.

"Well what are you not good at then? Maybe I could help you," I offered.

He thought about it for a while. "I'm no good with any of the weapons here."

"Ok cool," I said and walked off to find another star sign to interrogate.

"Hey wait you said you were gonna help me!"

Pffft as if. I just needed to find out how to defeat everyone.

I found Aries and Leo next. The two of them were whacking Saggitarius on the head with their foam daggers.

"Hey chill you guys! What did Saggy do?" I walked up to them and tried to pull Aries and Leo off, of course to no avail.

"Don't you remember last night?" Aries growled.

"What he shipped you?" I guessed.

"Well no, that might be it too but no."

"What is it then?"

"He toppled our pillow fort," Leo grumbled.

"Oh," I decided to leave before I got blamed for some minor issue, and also because I'd found out what I needed to know. They might be strong, but they couldn't stop fighting like I'd suspected.

I decided to find Capricorn next. She had already learned all the ropes and was wandering around talking to the other signs. Quite unusual for her, she was often making sarcastic remarks and being antisocial.

"Hey Capri," I greeted her.

"For the last time, don't call me Capri, it sounds ridiculous." She turned to face me. "What do you want?"

Oh no, she saw through my intentions! No surprise. Capricorn was too blunt and straight forward. She really needed to learn to play dumb sometimes.

"Well since you asked, I need information. Strengths and weaknesses." Since Capricorn was actually quite good at noticing things, and was usually ok with sharing some information, I decided I might as well ask her.

"You could just ask them, most of them are dumb enough to let slip that kind of information," She mused.

"I'm lazy ok," I muttered.

She rolled her eyes, but answered anyway. "Watch Aquarius closely."

I watched Aquarius as Capricorn told me. All I could see was her sitting there and listening to music.

"What am I supposed to notice?" I asked.

"She likes to train her mind more than her body, and she could have meditated earlier but she wasn't bothered. So she doesn't actually do things unless she has to," Capricorn explained as if it were plain to see.

I nodded, taking in the information.

"Hey Gemini," Capricorn said. "Do you think we could team up during the games?"

I turned to look at her. She was dead serious.

"Well, ok.." I'd have to start plotting all the ways I could defeat her without raising suspicions.

"Is there anyone else you want on our team?" I added.

She nodded. "Aquarius, Aries and Leo."

"Why on earth would you want them on our team?" I scoffed.

She looked at me like I'd just told the worst joke ever.

"Aries and Leo have brute strength, while Aquarius only has her head," Capricorn explained. "Aquarius also wouldn't know how to try and defeat me, even if she thought up the idea, after all she's not going to do something unless she has to. So they're all people who are easy to use and need to depend on us for abilities they lack."

Cancer's POV

I tried to stifle a giggle. This was the first time I'd managed to do something successfully. I peered out from behind the mats at Capricorn and Gemini, who were seemingly plotting something.

"So they're all people who are easy to use and need to depend on us for abilities they lack." Capricorn was exaplining to Gemini, who looked bored out of her mind.

I silently thanked Capricorn for all the information she'd just broken down for me, and headed over to Aquarius.

"Hey Aquarius," I greeted her cheerfully, sitting on the floor next to her. She opened her eyes and pulled her earplugs out.

"Hi Cancer."

"So, I overheard Capricorn and Gemini talking, Capricorn's going to ask some people to group together with during the games. You have any idea who you'd want to join?"

Aquarius blinked thoughtfully. "I was thinking that I would work alone, unless someone wanted to join me."

"So you weren't going to work with Capricorn?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"Could I work with you then?" I asked.

"Ok, who else should we ask?"

"I think we should just work as a two, or maybe ask Saggitarius," I suggested.

"Why Sagittarius?"

"He's one of the strongest here probably."

She nodded thoughtfully. "Ok"
