Chapter 4

Kasamatsu's POV

"Oh no..."

[ After I have actually attempted the said 'dark magic' from before, I started to get a bit anxious. What if it really works? What if I made my poor classmate like me, not considering her life and will at all? I really grew tense. I mean, nothing strange like smoke or anything popped up after I attempted it, but it doesn't mean it won't work. Hell, I doubt a magic that relies on Satan's worshipping will fart out magic smoke or whatever. I felt extremely guilty all of a sudden.
I hope nothing happened to the poor girl... she's so nice, she doesn't deserve it. I went to bed, praying that nothing actually happened, and went to sleep. When I woke up the day afterwards, I felt like throwing up. I had a really bad feeling about this, I don't know why. I rose from my bed and got prepared for school. After eating my breakfast, I got out and made out my way to Kaijou, dragging myself through the entire path and beyond the gates. However, the worst part was when I was supposed to get into the classroom. I was frozen for almost two complete minutes by the door just because of how nervous I was. I had to really put my entire will to actually enter. Since when I am so scared of magic, damn it?! Damn Takao and his detailed stories about his successful magic tricks. I didn't believe most of them, but he sure got the benefit of the doubt now. I spotted my crush on her usual sit. Fuck it, it's time to see if it worked.]
"...Good morning."
[ I said to nobody in particular walking to my sit. ]
'Good morning!'
[ I heard several people say in return, including my crush, but.... nothing changed. she wasn't blushing, or staring, or anything really. She just rose her head to see who came in, answered politely and went back to her business.... Ah. the spell was a miss. Well, at least I don't need to feel guilty, I guess. I let myself breathe, relaxing. It's the start of a normal day. ]
