*Isolde POV*
'A...Allifair? This thing even has a name?' I watched the wolf as it leaned it's head forward looking at the ground and shaking its head slowly. "I told you not to call me a thing! I'm a wolf and my name is Al."
I was speechless as I noticed the wolf with an upset face and what looked like a major frown. I was so confused. I felt like my brain was spinning around in circles as I tried processing everything I just heard. 'Is this wolf for real? Whats it doing her anyways? What's the point of this wolf if only I can see it?' I couldn't wrap my head around this. 'What should I even do? This wolf was just talking to me as if it was having a normal conversation? What is happening?' Before I could think anything else I heard a male's voice in my head. "I can answer all of your questions just come with me."
I looked around me to make sure there was no one around and I finally turned my attention to Allifair. "What makes you think I want to come with you? I just want to go home." I stated as I pointed a finger behind me in the direction of my house. The wolf stood up on all fours and its tail wagged back and forth. "You need to meet the others, of course, now come on." The wolf turned around and started to walk away from me. I glanced back to where my house was and I stared for a while. 'My house is right there, all I want to do is go home but I need some answers to what is going on.' I huffed out of frustration and I threw my school stuff in the yard and jogged to catch up with Allifair.
"Wait up!" I shouted to Allifair as I slowed down and went at a walking pace beside him. "What do you mean by others?" I questioned as we walked and Allifair glanced up at me. "You'll find out soon enough." For a moment I thought I saw a smile grow on the wolfs face as we kept walking farther and farther away from my house. 'I hope I won't regret this?' I thought as I looked down at my feet and slightly glanced over at Allifair.
"You won't regret this I promise." A voice told me as I looked over at Allifair and noticed him looking up at me with what I thought was yet another sly smile.
'Why am I even listening to this creature let alone following him to an unknown place?' I sighed in frustration at the fact of not knowing what was happening.
As we continued to walk on an unknown path it got quiet neither me nor Allifair talked, it was awkward. 'What am I thinking?' I thought as I looked down at Allifair and asked. "Is it true that only I can see and hear you?" Allifair seemed to hesitate on his next step but forced himself to keep walking as he answered me. "Yes, it's all true. Only you can hear and see us but I believe you aren't the only one who has this ability I think there is one other who can also hear and see us." I cocked my head and asked. "What do you mean by us?"
Allifair looked away from me and straight ahead and answered my question. "I don't know the whole story because I'm younger than the others but all I know is that every year or so there is a human that has the ability to hear and see us and by us I mean our pack. There is an entire group of wolves that can only be seen and heard by certain humans. Those certain humans are...what's a good word to describe them...special." I thought about his words for a moment and I couldn't help but wonder why out of all people, why was I chosen to be this 'special' person?
"Come on Isolde we are almost there, hurry up," Allifair complained. I shook my head of all thoughts and continued to follow Allifair to the place where 'the pack' waited.
*1Hr Later*
The rain had stopped and I looked around and didn't notice anything around me. I saw rows and rows of tall trees with dripping dark green leaves. Some of the leaves, however, were light green making them stick out from the rest. The bark on the trees looked damp from the rain causing them to become dark brown instead of a lighter brown. As I was looking around a gust of wind blew past me making me have a cold chill since I wasn't completely dry yet. I crossed my arms over my chest and rubbed my bare arms with my hands trying to warm them up.
Allifair's fur still looked the same as before. Fluffy and dry unlike my hair. What happens in the environment doesn't seem to affect Allifair and his appearance as I looked at his fur as it laid still, even the gust of wind didn't affect it and there was a strange light grey smoke rising from his back as if he was slowly being caught on fire.
I shook my head looking away from Allifair's dry fur and strange smoke and continued to glance around at the forest listening to the mud squishing against the bottoms of my shoes as I struggled to keep walking. All the trees looked about the same but I was more bothered with the feeling of being watched. I looked ahead to see if we had reached our destination yet but Allifair continued to walk and that's when I saw it. A group of bushes that had eyes piercing through the damp leaves. The eyes weren't normal colors that I've seen before either. Some were grey and there was red I saw one or two pairs of eyes that were different shades of purple.
I looked down at Allifair and noticed he had stopped walking causing me to stop as well. I looked around as I noticed more and more of them sprouted around us. I was about to lean down and ask Allifiar what we should do until he took one step forward and chuckled. "You guys need to work on your hiding skills!" I cocked my head in confusion as I looked back up at the strange eyes.
I heard small chuckles and some full-out laughs in all different voices ranging from male to female, young and old. I lifted an eyebrow as the eyes became snots and faces. Soon their entire bodies were showing until their tail came following out of the bushes behind them. They were all wolves, unique looking wolves just like Allifair. Out of all the wolves standing around us, I noticed two wolves that continued to move forward.
One wolf was mixed with all kind of different colors. There was blue and purple around the wolfs head and tail. There was also a pink mixed with a little orange that was almost a white around the wolfs chest and the end of its tail. This wolf walked tall and proud on steady paws as it took one step closer in our direction.
The second wolf was much younger as it came running at us with its tongue hanging out of its mouth as it bounced yelling. "Big brother Al! Big brother Al!"
The little wolf jumped and tackled Allifair to the ground and playfully chewed on Allifair's ear as Allifair laughed with joy. I watched as they playfully rolled around on the forest floor not having a care in the world about what was around them. Once Allifair stood back up on his four feet he looked up and the older wolf was standing in front of him.
I could see Allifairs eyes grow wide as he didn't hesitate to take a step forward and lay his head on the old wolfs shoulder. The old wolf closed its eyes and laid its head on the back of Allifair's neck and for a moment I thought I heard a sob before the old wolf spoke in a gentle voice. "I've missed you so much, Al. Welcome back home."
"Happy to be back, mom," Allifair commented.*The picture above is the little wolf that tackled Allifair to the ground his name will be Dusk and I hope you are enjoying my store so far. Hope you have a wonderful day/night.*
