*Isolde POV*
"Hey, dad," I mumbled as I waved my hand up at him and wore an innocent smile.
"Where have you been?" He questioned in a demanding voice as I walked past him and into the living room. "I was..." I stopped and looked back at Allifair who was still following me. "I was um..."
"Where have you been Isolde?" My dad asked again as I flopped down on our old light brown couch. "I was hanging with a friend," I stated finally as my dad moved and stood firm in front of me. "Its midnight you should have been home hours ago." My dad scolded me as I crossed my arms over my chest and responded calmly. "Sorry, I lost track of time." I could hear the slight sound of irritation in my voice as my dad spoke. "Don't give me that attitude young lady."
"Is that Sol?" A gentle voice spoke from in the direction of the kitchen.A young woman turned around the corner her light brown hair bounced from behind her landing gracefully on her shoulder. Her eyes grew wide as she found mine and she spoke. "Oh thank God, your home." She said and walked over and sat next to me on the couch giving me a warm hug. "I was so worried. Where have you been?" She mumbled into my shoulder and finally pushed herself off of me. I sighed and answered her. "Like I was telling dad, I was hanging out with a friend and lost track of time." My mom's soft face turned hard as she spoke sounding disappointed. "Were you hanging out with that friend of yours? That girl is nothing but trouble."
"Her name is Luella and she is more than a friend. We've been friends ever since first grade so more like a sister."
"When was the last time that girl made it through a week of school without getting yelled at or worse."I opened my mouth and closed it immediately as I looked down. 'My mom was right she's always getting yelled at and sent to the office, but shes always been there for me.' My mom crossed her arms over her chest. "That's what I thought. Now hand me your phone and go to your room and stay in there until dinner is ready." I huffed as I yanked my phone out of my skinny jeans pocket and handed it over to my mom. I turned around and walked up the stairs and the first room upstairs was my bedroom. I turned the doorknob and pushed the door open, flipping the light switch on. My room became filled with light as I kicked the door shut behind me with my foot. I sighed as I took my black converses off and laid them at the foot of my bed. I jumped on my bed and looked around my room. I looked at every poster hanging on the walls of my favorite TV Shows and movies. I looked down at the floor at the dirty clothes scattered everywhere and I smiled at a shirt that had a symbol of one of my favorite animes on it. I laid back on my bed my head hitting the pillow and I gazed at the ceiling for what felt like five minutes before a voice spoke in my head. "Can you open the door, Sol?"
I lifted myself off my bed and into a sitting position and grumbled as I stood up and walked over to the door and opened it. A medium sized fire wolf stood at the door as he looked up at me with a smile and commented. "Nice place you have here Sol." I stepped aside and watched as Allifair walked past me looking around my room at the posters and sniffing the dirty laundry scattered about the carpet floor. "This has to be the dirtiest room in this entire house though." Allifair looked back at me as I was still holding the door open.
"Honey, what are you doing?" My eyes widened a bit as I turned around and saw my mom standing in the hallway staring curiously into my room. "Nothing," I said quickly. "I thought I heard something outside my room but I guess it was just you." I swallowed hard as my mom stared at me concerned but shrugged her shoulders and continued to walk down the hallway and opened the third door down from mine. I sighed as I softly closed the door and turned around and glared at Allifair.
"Thank you for getting me in trouble and making my mom think I'm losing my damn mind."
"Your welcome," Allifair said happily as he jumped onto my bed. "You're really enjoying this aren't you?" I questioned as Allifair answered. "Not as much as you think but yeah." Allifair gave me a devilish smile as he walked in a circle three times and laid down, closing his eyes. I rolled my eyes as I heard a knock at the door and a voice shouting from the other side. "Sol, dinners ready!"
