*Elisabel's POV*
I walked up to my daughter's room and opened the door getting a face full of the smell of dirty laundry. I wiped my hand in front of me as if I was swatting a fly as I walked over to Sol's bed and sat down. I glanced around the room and grumbled to myself. 'I really need to get on that girl to clean her room.' I sighed knowing that the thought will probably never happen until the door squeaked open revealing a small teenage girl. I waited for her to take a seat beside me. If what I am seeing is true then my daughter, my precious Sol is in trouble if she ever finds out about him.
"What is it you needed to talk to me about, mom?" Sol asked innocently as she took a seat beside me on her bed. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath and exhaled and opened my eyes only to see the same thing. Sol sitting beside me on her bed, with the same wolf that I saw in the kitchen follow her into her room and sat by her feet next to the bed. "Mom, is everything okay?" I shook my head and looked back up at Sol. "What do you mean? I'm fine. I was just thinking about...something." I hesitated to say as I put on a small smile. "Anyways, I want you to tell me the truth about everything. Where you've been? Who you've been with? Everything." I could feel how serious my face became as Sol stuttered for words as she talked back to me. "Mom I've already told you everything. I was with Lulu and we were hanging out in the woods nearby and I lost track of time, what else needs to be said?" I could see Sol tense up as I looked into her eyes.
"You're still lying to me. Tell me the truth. Who were you really with when you were in the woods?" Sol twisted her head in confusion as she repeated herself. "I was with Lulu. Why don't you believe me?" I exhaled out and went straight to the point. "Ever since you came home from the woods I've been able to see it. It followed you in here and now it's sitting beside you on the floor, a wolf."
*Isolde's POV*
My breath was caught as I watched my mother in disbelief. 'Did she really just say that? Can she see Allifair? I thought only I could see him? How is this possible?' I managed to get my breathing steady again and I glanced down at Allifair and noticed he was just as surprised as I was. He looked back and forth between me and my mom before he moved and ordered. "Ask her where I am now." I nodded my head as I looked back at my mom and asked her with uncertain words. "If you can see this wolf where is it now?" My mom's face was serious as she looked over with ease and pointed out the spot Allifair had moved in. "The wolf is over there." She stated as she pointed a long finger in the direction of my brown dusty dresser that had a scratch mark from the last dog we owned. My eyes widened as Allifair moved back over to my side and spoke in utter amazement. "Wow, she can see me."
I looked back at my mom and asked her how she could see Allifair. She seemed to have shrugged her shoulders at the question and asked me one in return. "Sol, honey, how can you see the wolf?"
I took a deep breath and explained the long story of how I met Allifair and some of the wolves in the pack. The part I had the most trouble explaining was the magic part, on how Allifair can turn his body into a giant ball of fire, how Bellamy turned her tail into nothing but pure water and extinguished the fire Allifair caused. When I was finished my mom didn't say anything, she didn't even seem surprised, she just continued sitting there without saying a word.
"How long have you known about the wolves?" My mom asked as I tensed up and fiddled with my thumbs. "Today is the first day," I said quietly as my mom seemed to have gasp as she spoke. "You've only known them for today and you've already met the pack?" I nodded my head but corrected her. "Well, I've only met four wolves from the pack really. Allifair, Essence, Dusk, and Bellamy." She sighed in relief as she patted my thigh. "Just be careful okay Sol." I cocked my head but said okay slowly as my mom stood up from my bed and walked out the door giving me one last look before looking down at Allifair. "Keep Sol safe for me." I looked down at Allifair as my mom finally closed my bedroom door and I heard her footsteps grow faint. Allifair looked confused for a moment as I asked. "Do you know what she was talking about? Keep me safe from what?"
"More like from who." Allifair interrupted as he glanced up at me with worried silver eyes. "Well can you fill me in on who this who is?" I asked awkwardly as Allifair shook his head. "I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint because I don't know much," Allifair admitted. "all I know is that there was a wolf that went rogue, bad, and hurt the pack. No one has seen the rogue wolf since."
"Do you at least know his name?"
"No, not his real name at least everyone in the pack always tells me that if I say his real name he'll get me and hurt me." Allifair paused for a moment. "If I'm lucky," Allifair finished. I could see him shake a little with fear as he stopped talking for a bit and swallowed hard. "actually just talking about it could cause me to get hurt by him, from what the pack says anyways. You can believe it if you want, it's up to you. To be honest, I'm not really sure what to think of it."
I thought about Allifair's words for a moment but I didn't know whether to believe them or not. I went over to my desk where my laptop was stationed and I opened it up and pressed down on the power button. "What are you doing?" I looked over at Allifair and replied. "I'm going to draw a picture of a wolf. Actually can you possible give me a description of what this 'rogue' wolf looks like?" Allifair seemed to think about this for a moment until he nodded his head and shifted nervously in his spot. "The rogue wolf is black, by black I mean like a midnight black, a pitch black." He took a shaky breath and continued. "From what I remember I was told that the rogue wolf has red stripes traveling up and down his body. To be honest with you the rogue wolf looks like Dusk just bigger and muscular, more alfa wolf-like." I tilted my head to the side in question. "Isn't Dusk that little wolf?"
"Dusk was the little wolf that tackled me in the forest, yeah. Pitch black with red stripes just like the rogue wolfs description." Allifair explained. "Actually I feel sorry for Dusk everyone is afraid of him except me and my mom."
"Why's that?"
"Because the few who have seen the rogue wolf say that Dusk looks exactly like him just smaller." Allifair exhaled and kept going his words getting a little shaky. "Do you remember what my mom said about how us special wolves either look nothing like our parents or that we look like an exact copy of them?" I nodded my head as Allifair had a serious look on his furry face. "The pack thinks that Dusk is possibly the offspring of the rogue wolf."
I gasped as Allifair had a worried look in his silver eyes. "I'm actually afraid to leave Dusk alone with the pack because no one there will protect him. I even caught a few of the other kids picking on him saying he should just die. It makes me pissed just thinking about it." Allifair gritted his teeth as he looked down at the ground. "Why do Dusk's parents not do anything about it?" Allifair's head quickly jumped up and he glared at me with fierce rage in his eyes. "Because Dusk's mother is dead!" He growled loudly. I was afraid to ask, or to even speak anything else as I could feel the heat rising from Allifair as I sat at my desk, sweat beading my forehead. "His mother is dead and no one knows who the father is." Allifair snarled as I saw grey smoke rising from under his fur and his eyes started to turn orange. I placed my hands in front of me as I spoke softly. "Allifair calm down. If you don't calm down you're going to burn the house down."
The smoke seemed to have faded away as Allifair laid on the floor covering his face with his paws and for a moment I thought I heard him sob. "I just want to protect my little brother. I just want Dusk to be happy." Allifair took in a shaky breath as he didn't raise his head to look at me.
'Is Allifair crying? All because he wants to protect someone that isn't even family by blood. Allifair is like an actual brother he wants to protect Dusk. So does that mean he wasn't being rude to Dusk he was trying to be strong and not show his weakness.' My eyes started to sting with tears as I got up from my desk and slowly walked over to Allifair. "Its been a long day. Try getting some rest, Al." I said almost in a whisper. At first, I didn't think he would move until he mumbled. "Yeah, your probably right Sol." He lifted his paws away from his face and he glanced up at me with tearful back to silver eyes and he had a small smile on his face. I gently laid my hand on top of Allifair's head as I softly offered. "Come on let's get you into my bed. I don't want you to be sleeping on the floor tonight." I gave a small smile as he slightly nodded his head and walked over to my bed. Once Allifair jumped onto my bed he curled up into a perfect ball his head landing on my pillow and I moved the blankets from underneath him and laid them over his body.
"What about you Sol? Arent, you going to bed?" Allifair asked. I shook my head and answered. "Nah tomorrows Saturday I'm going to stay up for a while since I don't have school in the morning." Allifair didn't answer back as he slowly closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. "Good night Al," I whispered as I turned around and walked back over to my desk and pulled a piece of blank paper and a pencil out of one of the draws and sliding the paper onto my desk. "Time to get to work," I commented as I looked up wolf drawings on the internet and tried my best to draw a good wolf silhouette on the blank sheet of paper.
I spent all night sketching a wolf on the blank piece of paper that I pulled from my desk until I stopped because I couldn't concentrate with Allifair snoring and my eyelids growing heavy. I sighed as I glanced behind me at Allifair and saw him stretched out in an awkward position on my bed. I rolled my tired eyes and stood up from my desk flipping the light switch off and turning my fan on. "Good night Allifair," I whispered on more time as I sat down at my desk and laid my head on it while I slowly closed my laptop and finally closed my eyes and saw nothing but darkness.
*Have a great day/night everyone*
