Third POV
It had been three whole days since Hiccup had woken up and so far we haven't gotten a single, or simple word from his mouth. It seemed that to check on him had no point at all, he barely let anyone touch him, he didn't look at us, heck he wouldn't even eat.
"Alright today is the day Hiccup's gonna talk I just know it!" Snotlout exclaimed, determination lowering every day when he didn't speak.

Astrid POV
I was walking into Hiccup's hut checking on him even though it seemed pointless. Toothless following right behind, worried as well. As I walked in I saw Hiccup curled into a dark corner his head down hands on top, shaking. I didn't know what to do then, he was just mumbling to himself saying "you're wrong, leave me alone". How does someone help this, so I went over to him and sat down next to him. Toothless was cooing in front of his best friend unsure on what was going on. "Hiccup, I'm right here, we all are" I told him, he hugged me quick and didn't let go, like he was protecting me from himself. I could feel his tears, his heart beating rapidly, breath unsteady and unsure. Toothless cuddled around us. I almost knew what was wrong.

Stoick POV on Berk
"Hiccup please be alright" I said to no one looking towards the star filled sea of the night, the bright moon being the only comfort of light in the dark abyss.

Hiccup was hiding himself from his own demons.
