After a couple of days being in this town and being at a school it's has been good like I thought. Katie and I became good friends now. When I said she is just like me but some of her features were different. Plus she has more excitement than me. I am more chill than her but I do like her. She is always funny. Why we get along pretty well. She plays sports but she isn't totally the best at them. But loves to play sports and is kinda a tomboy herself. We have most classes together so it's nice. She has been my only friend here. Which was good cause I want to focus on school and just have a small circle of people that I can trust. Even though she is my only friend here so I don't have a small circle but still.
"Do you play any sports? You should be on the soccer team with me. I know it already started since you came to this school later but it would be cool." I rubbed the back of my neck. I felt like I could trust her though. "Yeah I do but I wasn't going to play any sports for my senior year. I was the star athlete back at my old school. I just don't want that attention again." She looked shocked. "What you got to be stupid? If you were the star athlete at your old school for sports you need to try out for the team at least come on. I doubt you would be treated the same here. Plus you can get accepted into a college if you are amazing at doing sports." I shook my head at her while I ate the rest of my food since it was Lunch time at this point of the school day. "I don't know, I just want to blend in." She rolls her eyes at me.
I got up to throw away my food since I was done eating. As I was walking this girl bumped into me. Why do I keep bumping into people? Am I some magnet or some shit? She was holding her tray of food and her food on the tray got all over her when I bumped into her. "Ugh you bitch!" I couldn't help but giggle a bit cause it was kind of funny since she was covered in food. "You messed up my clothes. I am covered in food!" She threw her tray to the ground in frustration. "I'm sorry." I tried not to laugh at the situation. She is the one that walked into me when I was trying to throw away my food. This girl looked like that girl that owns the school, you know like from that movie Mean Girls. She had dirty blonde hair that match her tan white skin tone. She was wearing too much makeup for herself not that I'm a fan of makeup but you could tell. Her outfit was typically something slutty. A crop top and a skirt with some heels.
(Nikki)
"Watch where you're going stupid ass." I give her a straight face crossing my arms. "You're the one that walked into me first. You should watch where you walk just saying "stupid ass"." I use air quotes when I say "stupid ass" back to her since that's what she called me. "Don't talk back to me, who do you think you are some tough girl." I smirked back at her and shake my head. I know I wanted to blend in here but honestly if someone comes at me for some stupid reason they did themselves I will tell them straight up. People didn't mess with me at my old school, I was that tough girl. I admit I was in a few fights back then but I barely got in trouble since I was the star athlete of the school. But then I did think, this ain't my old school now so I should watch myself. "Cat got your tongue." She was trying to get in my face. She broke my thoughts. "Look you are wasting my time here, you walked into me. You better go clean yourself up though girl unless you like to look dirty cause it seems to match your personality." I say that with no emotion walking away back to the table where Katie was sitting. "Ugh!!!" She screamed. Then she stomped away and walked in the other direction after I left her standing there. Katie giggles at me when I sat down at the table. "I guess you aren't blending in after all since that happened." I rolled my eyes at her. "But that girl was Nikki Alder the meanest girl in the school. She is like basically the Queen Bee. Shit you told her off, I was laughing so hard. Everyone around here stays out of her way. But you told her off, I knew we would become great friends!" I shake my head at her and giggled a bit. "Well now she met me. I never dealt with this shit at my old school. Everyone was the same. There was no bad boy or mean girl shit." I shrug my shoulders. "But now since you probably are gonna blend in now. Will you try out for the team?" She smiled at me and pleaded. I roll my eyes, "Maybe." "I will take that."
*bell ring*
School went okay after my encounter with Nikki though. I still blended in with the crowd in school. *Speaker buzz* "Will Aubrey Coleman please report to the principal's office." The speaker buzzed me when I was in science class. I got my things and walked to the office at the front entrance of the school. I walked into the office seeing the receptionist at the front desk. "The principal wanted to see me?" I spoke softly and shyly. "You may go in." She spoke to me. I walked towards his office and opened the door. "You wanted to see me sir." I sat down in front of his desk. "Yes you aren't in trouble Aubrey. I just wanted to talk to you. To see how are you liking this school." I rolled my eyes since he was facing away from me looking out the window so he didn't see my face. I bet he wants me to play sports here. "It's fine here Mr. Simons." That's what his name tag said on the desk. He turns around looking at me with a smile. "That's good, I was wondering if you wanted to try out for the sport teams here as well. Since you were a star athlete at your old school." He spoke with a smile at me. I knew it, I thought to myself. "I don't know." "Oh please we need someone like you that is amazing at sports to support the school. This school as been slacking with winning any type of championship for all our sports." "I wanted to focus on school and get into a good college." I shrugged my shoulders. "Well here I'll make a deal with you. If you do sports here, I will make sure you get a scholarship to a college of your choice if you get this school to a championship game for a sport." I thought about to myself. I want to get into a great college. But then I don't want that attention at this school. That's why I stopped doing sports since I came here. I want to blend in and not be noticed as the star athlete . It was too much drama for myself to handle with everyone getting into my business even though I was the star athlete and that tough girl. Why I was in a lot of fights cause of everyone bothering me. But they didn't want to punish me even though I caused fights since I was their star athlete.
*Flash Back*
(Back in my old high school, my junior year)
"Aubrey great job on winning that game last night!" A guy yelled in the hallway. "Thanks Eric!" I smiled. "Rey nice playing last night! Wish you could be on the guy's basketball team, you're amazing." A guy walked passed me saying and pointing at me. "Thanks." I closed my locker after grabbing my books. "I can't believe Aubrey is talking to so many guys. Like it's annoying, I bet she sleeps with most of them." I heard a girl talking to another girl across the hallway. "Excuse me!" I walked up to them and they look at me shocked. "I am not some whore!" I got into the girl's face that was talking. "Oh sorry slut! Do you learn to play sports so good cause you learn from all the guys you fu-" I punched her in the face that knocked her into the locker. Then she slid on the floor with her nose bleeding. I walked away from the situation without saying a word. I always had to stick up for myself cause no one had my back. I had friends but they were just the girls I played sports with. Never hung out with them outside of school. I was just by myself and had to take care of myself.
*Flash Back Over*"Deal." I spoke to him shaking his hand. "Good you may leave. I will tell the coach about you to make you the captain. Let's win a game." He threw his hands in the air. I got up from the chair shaking my head from him being so excited I agreed. What did I agree to?
"Kathy you can send in Jayden." I heard him say to the phone while I left. I walked out of the office walking past Jayden sitting on the bench. His face had no emotion just like before when I bumped into him. His eyes looked at me up and down then met my eyes when I looked at him. But I looked away and kept walking. He seems so mysterious. I haven't heard him talk at all since I heard about him. Yet he is the baddest boy in the school. I bet he got in trouble, why he is being sent to the principal's office, I rolled my eyes.
I walk to my class and dealt with the rest of my day. I still can't believe I said "deal" that I would do sports. I'm not ready for the attention. But then it's only my last year, and I want to get into a good college. Katie is probably right, now that I think about it. I could get accepted into a good college for doing good at sports. I hope there is no drama after people notice me now. Oh god wait he is making me team captain, I smacked myself mentally since I was in class.
A/N: Keep on reading, things will get better. Is there some kind of connection with Jayden and Aubrey? Will Nikki get revenge at Aubrey? Will Aubrey get that attention again like at her old school when she was that star athlete. Who knows keep reading.
