"Alright, so I say we hit American Eagle next, and then we just wander." My best friend Amber babbled. We were hanging at the mall, a girl's favorite place, and each of us already had thousands of bags. "As long as I don't have to try on more 4 inch heels, I'm happy."

We walked down the long halls of the mall, chatting about things of no importance like who was dating who and how awesome our last year of high school was going to be, when I spotted a small candy store. "Oh my god, Amber! Let's go in the candy store!" I jumped up and down, gaining a couple of weird looks from other mall passer-bys. 

"Oh Penn, are you always this insane?" Amber laughed, following me into the small store packed full with sweets. 

"There's so much stuff in here! I just want to buy all of it!" I yelled out, grabbing a bag and filling it with everything I saw.

Louis' POV

"Wow that place really is exactly like Jack Wills!" Harry exclaimed as we left a store called Abercrombie and Fitch. I laughed at his obsession with the British store before spotting heaven on earth.

A sweets store. 

I took off towards it, ignoring the yells from Liam and Zayn. As soon as they saw what I was heading for, I was sure they would follow. 

I entered the sweets shop, my eyes roaming around the store. There was candy everywhere, filling bins and displayed on racks. This truly was heaven!

"God Louis! You can't just take off running like that. It's just a sweets shop." Liam chided, finally entering the shop. "Oh come on Liam, even you can't deny a sweets shop when you see one!" I argued, heading towards the place where you get a bag. Liam chuckled as the rest of the boys entered the shop. 

I wandered off to the back end of the store, eyeing the candy on the walls. I was broken out of my sweets trance by a girl yelling, "No! Penny! You can't go back there!"

I looked over, spotting a girl about Harry's age, with long, dark red hair. Her blue eyes wide with fear, like she had been caught. She walked back over to her friend, hanging her head. 

I gave a little smirk. 

As the girl, Penny, walked off again, I approached her, "Curious about what's behind that door, eh?"  She looked up at me, her eyes sparkling with hope, and then suspicion. "Yes... do you know?" she asked. I smirked again. "Not only do I know, but we could go back there."

I knew by the surprise on her face that she wanted to. "Follow me," I started. "But stay low."

As we skirted the corner of the store I wondered why she hadn't recognized me. Oh great, now here I go with a big ego. She obviously wasn't a fan.

As we made it to the door, I turned back to look at her. "You ready?" I asked. She nodded, excitement clear on her face. 

I began to twist the door knob when Liam yelled out, “Louis! What are you doing?” At the same time, Penny’s friend yelled, “Penny! I told you to stay away from there!” I looked over at Penny, yelling out “RUN!” 

We both ran out the door of the sweets shop, and she whispered, “To the Starbucks!”

Penny’s POV

We arrived at the Starbucks and I slid into one of the nearby chairs. This mystery guy sat down across from me, smiling. 

“So,” he started. “Your name’s Penny?” I nodded. He gave me a weird look, following it up with a “Do you know who I am?” It wasn’t the way people say it when they’re angry, he was truly curious. 

I sighed, explaining my thought process, “Well at first I thought you looked like Louis Tomlinson, but then I decided that you weren’t and you just looked like him. Then, when Liam called out ‘Louis’ I kind of put it together. But I still can’t believe it.”

He laughed. “Fan or not?” Louis asked. I gasped, feigning hurt. “Huge fan!”

Louis’ POV

I laughed at her process of thinking. Sitting across from her, I could fully take in her features. Her eyes were naturally large, always full of emotion and excitement. To compliment them, she had small lips and a small nose that crinkled up when she laughed. Her long hair was a woody-red that fell around her face perfectly. 

I asked another question, “Fan or not?” She gasped, faking hurt. “Huge fan!” 

I peeked out of the small coffee shop, immediately finding Liam. He was getting closer, and I knew I didn’t have very much time. “Penny?” I started, all of a sudden nervous. “Yes?” she asked, raising her eyebrows. 

“Do you wanna go out sometime?” I finally asked. 

She smiled bigger. “I would love to.” 

Liam walked into the store, the other girl trailing behind him. He must have picked me out easily, everybody else was dressed for work, and here I was in my trademark stripes. 

As he approached, I sank into my chair. To my surprise, he looked over at Penny instead.

“Well, looks like we’ve found a female Louis.”
