Emily Brooks, just a simple girl living in New York. Not much to her. She is entering her sophomore year at Midtown High with her two best friends, Peter Parker and Ned Leeds.
Emily's life is pretty normal for a fifteen year old girl, her parents work too much and the only parental figure she has in her life is her twenty three year old sister, Chloe, who has gone through a lot, which affected Emily at such a young age.
She was so terrified of losing all the friends she had in middle school that she ended up living one of her worst fears. She distanced herself without even realizing it and everyone left her, except for Peter and Ned.
Emily cared about her two friends deeply, especially Peter. She has been crushing on Peter for years, and the boy was oblivious to it.
The one thing she didn't care for was Spider-man. He was a menace and a vigilante Emily never understood. She didn't understand what his motive were, especially after getting Peter's uncle, Ben killed, and didn't understand why he was so popular.
Besides from school, Emily works as a photographer for the Daily Bugle, in hopes that one day it will lead her to do great things, and make an impact on the world using her photos.
So when her photography and Spider-man clash, Emily must make a choice, suck it up or forget who she is, just for some guy.

so these are just some things i want to say
i don't really understand the timeline of the homecoming so i'm just gonna place it in 2016 because in the movie it says, 2 months after tony dropping off peter, which means 2 months after the events of civil war right? someone correct me if i'm wrong, please. so just wanted to put that out there. a lot of the parts will be set in homecoming, with dialogue from the movie also my own, but i still have some of my own original ideas put into this. i'm going to try and not make it exactly like homecoming and add in my own scenes!!
i've been reading a lot of these books lately and got inspired! i've been working on this for about two months now and i'm excited to finally start publishing. i'm going to publish this (obviously), the cast and the playlist before any chapters because 1. so i can get a feel of who actually wants to read and 2. because i want time to write more. i have about 5 chapters ready but i want to write some more before i start publishing like crazy.
this book is inspired by tinkertaydust 's book "The weight of the world" and i totally recommend it! It's the first book that got me on this spiral of reading peter parker books!
I want to say i do not own any marvel characters, all right reserved to them, i only own Emily and Chloe and any other original characters i bring into the story.
