Terminator Genisys Come To Life

I watched Terminator Genisys over the weekend and I am now terrified for the future. There are now three or more home managing devices that connect your house to the cloud basically. The theme of this article was to inform the public about a new home managing device by Apple. There are already two other machines like this on the market, Alexa by Amazon and Google Home by Google. A few of my family members have Alexa and in my kitchen, there is a Google home machine. My Family mostly uses it to play music, tell the time or do simple math problems. Sidenote; It will not do your Algebra 1 homework for you, trust me. The only thing we have connected to is our music accounts. Other people have their lights, Amazon accounts, and security systems hooked up to theirs. That to me is terrifying. Innovative and awesomely lazy, but terrifying. They are letting a machine control their lives. In class, we are reading Fahrenheit 451 and in the book, there is text that says that the houses cannot be burn and that there are people who have rooms with 4 full widths and length of those rooms. How far is our society from that? Will we have to sit and wait for 50 odd more years to be taken over by the machines? Or is that time just around the corner. For our first quote of the week, we had to analyze a quote by Einstein which was about how he feared for our humanity. He was right. After watching that movie last weekend I am so scared. Not like apocalypse scared or things of the like, but an underlying wave of impending danger kind of fear.
