After school Luna, Lily and Adelina parted ways to go to their lockers. Luna's nerves were all over the place at the thought of her and Mr.Smith alone in a room together for an hour. All the things he could do to her, the things she could do to him, now it could all come true, she just has to take it slow and steady, she thought to herself.

Lily had cheerleading after school and Adelina had basketball. And Luna, well Luna had detention. Not that she was complaining after all it was detention with the hottest teacher in school.

They all agreed to meet by a water fountain to say their final goodbyes and good lucks to Luna.

As soon as the halls were close to empty and her friends were out of sight, Luna rushed into the bathroom checking under the stalls and then locked the door once she realized the coast was clear. Fumbling with the packet almost dropping it all out she managed to slip some under her nail and once again in one sniff she emptied the contents from under her nail. She started feeling a weird tingly feeling in her left nostril, considering she sniffed the substance through there.

She knew deep down what she was doing was wrong, but in a way it made her feel like she could do anything, like she was queen of the world and nothing is impossible. And right now, Luna needed that more than anything. She quickly cleaned up Her finger and the sink, stuffing the packet into her bag. She wasn't sure how long she'd been in the bathroom for but she knew it was time that she left and went to face Mr.Smith.

She pushed the bathroom door open and heard a loud "Ow!" Come from the other side.

Her nostril suddenly feeling numb Luna stumbles around the door and finds Mr. Smith picking up papers that flew everywhere from the impact.

"Oh my god- Mr. Smith- I- I'm so so sorry!" Luna stuttered.

Mr. Smith ignored her until he finished picking up the papers then he stood in front of her while Luna looked down. She could feel him staring at her and expected him to be angry at her for accidentally hitting him with the door, but he wasn't.

"Come on Ramirez." And he led her to his classroom.

He went straight to his desk and Luna thought, it's now or never. So, she went over to the closest desk that was near his desk and took a seat.

She put her head down and kept sniffling hoping to regain feeling to her nostril but it wasn't working. She's experienced it many times before and knew it would go away but for some reason she wanted it to go away now. She started bouncing her left leg up and down but then slowly pulled her head up being blinded by the bright lights of the classroom. It's snowing outside so it's a little dark but still daytime. She lifted her head up squinting her eyes and looked the opposite way of Mr. Smith's desk. She looked towards the window.

Pulling her hair up in an Actually effortless messy ponytail she got up from her seat causing Mr. Smith's head to fly up. She walked over to the window and took a look through it. The schoolyard, looking like an unfinished painting, so much of the canvas was perfectly white as if it were waiting for the artist to come back. The flurries of snow that were rolling in the air under the roaring winds, zillions of snowflakes dancing in perfect sync. The afternoon light struggling to find it's way through the murky clouds. Luna imagined a sun actually trying to move the clouds out of the way and actually ended up laughing harder than she should've, but then again, she was high.

She didn't hear it happen, but she knew then and there that Mr. Smith rolled his chair back and was walking up to her.

"What's so funny about snow?" He asked slipping his hands in his pockets.

Luna giggled. "W-Well y-ya see, how t-the-"

"Am I making you nervous Luna?"

"No." Luna stated firmly still looking out the window.

"The suns struggling. She wants to be seen so badly but the moons in the way." He mumbled.

"The moon is not in the way." Luna said perking up an eyebrow.

She looked up at Mr.Smith with squinted eyes hoping he wouldn't notice her red eyes. To her surprise, he was already looking down at her with the corner of his lips curled trying to hold back a laugh or chuckle. Involuntarily, a chuckle escaped his pursed lips.

"That is not what I meant." He mocked.

"Luna..your sweating." He said.

"It's hot." Luna replied.

"It's also twenty three degrees out side because it's January." He stated sounding suspicious.

"So how long is this detention?" Luna asked.

"Why? Got somewhere to be?" He asked heading back to his desk.

Luna slipped off her black jacket followed by her grey one, undid her tie, and the top three buttons on her shirt. She let her hair fall down to her waist and walked over to his desk causing Mr.Smith to sit back in his chair. She sat on his desk purposely raising her skirt so he can get a clear view of her black lace underwear. She knew he saw it when she saw him squirm in his seat and his left eyebrow jump up.

"I mean, no. Unless.."

"Luna.." Mr.Smith started, his voice deep and husky.

"This- this is inappropriate." He whispered trying to look away.

"It isn't if nobody knows." She whispered back slipping off his desk and onto his lap.

She held his black tie in between her black and gold acrylics. Bringing her lips up to his ear she whispered, "Nobody has to know."

He pushed her off his lap and redid his tie. Luna felt herself turn red in embarrassment so she did the same, she did all her buttons along with her tie and slipped on her jackets.

"You can go now Miss Ramirez, thank you for coming."

Luna saw a smile tug on the corner of his lips and figured there's still some sort of hope, "My pleasure." and she left him there.

Without thinking she walked right out the school feeling like a bad ass then it hit her: she's got to walk all the way across town in the freezing cold; she's got to walk, until her lips turn blue.

--------

Luna's walk seemed longer on her way back from school then it did on her way there. The icy air was whistling around her ears causing her skin to tingle and sting, and make her fingers and legs go numb. Her breath was pale against the numbing air, she blinked thoughtfully as the snowflakes kissed her face, captivated by the soft, dusty illusions of light that say heavy on her eyelashes. Luna's always liked the snow, more-so when it was falling.

Luna felt like she was walking for hours, and hours but she still wasn't close. Her legs started to wobble, and she knew she wasn't able to walk any longer. She parted her hair so it went over both shoulders keeping her neck warm, she then flipped up her hoodie and kept walking.

Beep! Beep!

Luna looked back and noticed a black 2016 bmw pull over next to her. When the window rolled down she saw someone she'd never expect to see,

Mr.Smith.

"Get in." He said.

And she listened.
