I don't think I understand this.

You know, that feeling you get in your chest when someone mentions someone else's name.

The good feeling not the bad one by the way.

The butterflies—scratch that,— the whole zoo you get in your stomach when that persons near.

Well those feelings are the ones I don't think I quite understand. I've never felt this way. Maybe I took in too much this morning, but for these last couple of weeks I've been relatively happy.

I haven't stopped by Cherry Oaks yet to visit Maggie or to see how my room is doing. But I've mailed her the money I owe. I haven't bumped into Greg or Larson on the corner anymore, which I find kind of weird but hey, maybe they've found another corner.

I hope.

Hill- I mean, Jessica, hasn't been around since before Daniel's birthday dinner so I'm guessing she's busy with Jonah.

Even though I've been happy, that's something that still haunts me every night before bed, alongside many other things.

Jonah is Jessica's son. Jessica and Daniel have been dating for god knows how long and yet Daniel claims Jonah isn't his son.

Maybe he's in denial.

Maybe it really isn't his son.

Maybe he's in denial.

Maybe it really isn't his son.

Were the only words that played in my mind all morning, because... today's the day.

Today's the day I meet Jonah.

Yep, as in the day I have to meet and babysit a kid I don't even know. I'm not even getting paid either.

I know, wonderful right. (Note the sarcasm).

"What if he doesn't like me?"

"What if I scare him?"

"What if Hilly's told him bad thinks about me?" I rambled on to Daniel who sat on the couch across from me.

"What if-"

Daniel got up from his side of the couch and walked over to my side, taking a seat next to me.

He placed a hand on my shoulder before calmly saying, "Luna, you'll be fine. We'll only be gone for a couple hours. Besides, the kid would be insane not to like you. Look at you! You're even dressed like a babysitter." He said the last part while motioning to my outfit.

I wore some black leggings with an oversized hoodie (to hide the tattoos) that was kind of off the shoulder and some Ugg's.

"Gee thanks pal, you certainly know how to calm a girls nerves." I said sarcastically, adding an eye roll for effect.

He screwed up his face, "Pal?" He asked.

"Pal." I confirmed.

"Since when do you-"

Daniel was interrupted by the sound of a doorbell which made me jump.

"Oh my god! They're here. Daniel. They're here I- I don't-"

"Luna, relax," he put both hands on my shoulders and gave me a gentle kiss on the forehead, "You got this." He gave me one last smile before going to the door to open it.

"Danny!!" The little boy screamed.

"Hey kiddo! How've you been?" Daniel asked bring the boy into a warm embrace.
