Chapter Seventeen: Be a man

"Where are you going?" He asked, shaking the keys to his door.

"Adelina's." I said without looking back.

"It's been weeks Luna you haven't-"

I slammed the door shut in his face.

I didn't wanna hear it. I know what's happening with me, he probably does too but I'm not admitting it. Not now, not tomorrow, not ever.

"Luna!" He yelled from his porch.

"What!"

"We need to talk!" He yelled.

"And I need to study!" I yelled back.

"Luna!" He called again.

I ignored him as I continued to walk away with the cool March breeze hitting my face.

After a twenty minute walk and almost getting attack by neighborhood dogs I made it to Adelina's.

"Luna! Hi! Finally!" She said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"Oh screw off." I said.

"Is that Luna Ramirez? Hi honey!" Her mom greeted, making her way to me with arms wide open.

"Hi Marisa." I giggled.

"Where have you been? It's been months!"

"Well...uhm...busy mostly, you know. In a couple of weeks marks the ninth year my parents have been dead so you know, I'm laying low." I explained.

"I'm so sorry honey... I understand. I'll leave you two be, if you need anything just come on down." She gave me one last hug before she returned to the kitchen.

"She looks terrible Ade." I whispered.

"I know, that cancer is kicking her ass." She whispered back.

We both sighed before heading up to Adelina's room and found Lily sitting on the bed.

"So..."

"So?"

"Oh come on! Don't act like you don't have anything to tell us! It's been months since we've had an actual conversation! Update us on your mission with Mr. Hottie." Lily said, sitting up.

I took a seat on my favorite yellow bean bag Adelina has in the corner of her room and began to tell them...everything.

"You-"

"What?"

"Yup." I confirmed.

"God your terrible!" Lily exclaimed, jumping up from the bed.

"How?" I chuckled.

"You haven't jumped his bones yet!" Adelina squealed.

"Oh shut up." I threw a small pillow at her.

"So wait, wait- her names...Jessica?" Lily asked with a disgusted face on.

"Yup." I said, popping the p.

"Ew." She giggled.

After our discussion about me, Lily caught us up on the new boy she's been seeing, his names Tyler and he's a freshman in college, and works at a bar.

Adelina caught us up on the guy she thought was into her until she kissed him and...found it he was gay.

I laughed my ass off, "Wait, wait."

"He pushes you off...and was like..."

Lily laughed before we bother shouted out, "I like dick!" In Adelina's face.
