Chapter Nine: It's a Promise

"You ordered chinese?"

"How did you-"

"I ran into the dude outside and payed for your food, now is Daniel home?"

I took the container of food from him and let him inside, the second he passed by me all I smelled was weed. I guided him to the kitchen where Jessica and Daniel were sitting across from each other eating in silence.

"Um, Daniel you have a visitor.." I said shyly.

As soon as I spoke Jessica's head shot to me and she narrowed her eyes.

"Larson? What are you doing here?" Daniel asked getting up and wiping his mouth.

"Come on, let's go out back."

"Nice seeing you again ma." And with that Larson followed Daniel out to the back porch where we sat earlier leaving me alone with Hilly- I mean, Jessica. I walked over to the fridge and grabbed myself a water bottle and a fork.

"If you think I'm stupid, your wrong." She said shoving grass into her mouth.

"What?" I asked turning around to face her.

"You aren't his niece. In fact, I have no idea who you are and why your here, but I know you aren't his niece, Daniel's an only child." She turned her chair and folded her arms across her chest.

"Well, obviously he isn't if my dad's his brother so..get lost Hilly." I tried to turn around to leave the kitchen but Jessica grabbed my wrist and spun me around causing me to drop my food and my water bottle.

"What's your problem?!" I yelled.

"My problem is that there's an eighteen year old slut living with my boyfriend, wearing slutty outfits and acting like a slut around my boyfriend. Daniel will never be yours! And I surely will make sure you know that tonight, when he's screwing me so hard you'll be able to hear my screams, me begging him not to-"

Jessica was interrupted by my fist coming in contact in her nose so hard that she fell backwards. While she was on the floor cupping her nose that was now bleeding, I grabbed a fistful of her red locks, and whispered in her ear, "Vise versa." and let her head drop to the floor.

I went back to my room to grab my bomber jacket and walked out the front door to the back where Daniel and Larson looked deep in conversation while smoking. I walked up behind Larson and took a blunt out of his pocket along with a lighter that he didn't even realize I took. I walked behind them and over to Daniel's side.

"You might wanna go check on your girlfriend." I stated before taking a puff.

"Holy shi-"

"Where the hel-"

Larson and Daniel both stared at me while I sat there looking away from there taking puff after puff. "Don't worry I just got here."

Larson walked up to me taking the blunt from my lips and taking it for himself before asking for my hand. I placed my warm hand into his cold large ones.

"Ay, ma what'd you do?"

"I punched her." I shrugged taking my hand out of his and studying my red swollen knuckles.

"Why Luna?" Daniel asked putting out his cigarette.

"Ask her that."

He left Larson and I in the cold while he went inside to check on his precious girlfriend.

"So, you know Danny?" Larson began..

"I could ask you the same thing." I chuckled and crossed my arms across my chest.
