( I'll be switching the point of views during this chapter so you can see what Luna and Daniel are doing at the same time.)
*still in daniel's pov*
The car ride was silent, Greg was driving with Larson in the passenger seat and Luna and I in the back.
We drove to my house and everyone remained silent; the only noise being the jingle of my keys as I pulled them out of my pocket and placed them in the door.
Everyone followed me inside, including Luna and in the light of my living room, I noticed how messed up she looks.
Her long straight black hair was frizzy and tangled into a giant bunch on top of her head. She wore grey sweat pants with a small black shirt that showed off her belly button and what appeared to be a belly button ring I've never noticed before. She clung Greg's black jacket over her shoulders, revealing her geometrical tattoo that spirals down her arm, covering up her scars. She wore slides on her feet with black socks and even though she hasn't looked up at me, I saw her mascara was dripping down her beautiful face. Evidence of tears she once let fall from her dark mysterious eyes.
I cleared my throat to clear up the tension that was evident in the living room where all four of us stand, waiting for someone to say something.
I decided to break the silence after a few minutes passed, "Does uhm...anyone want anything?" My voice coming our shakier than intended.
"I'll take some water. Not that fancy rich shit in a glass but a bottle of water that I know you have in that closet which you bought from Family Dollar is gonna be fine with me." Larson spoke.
"I wasn't planning on giving you any fancy rich shit." I mocked with air quotes.
I looked over at Greg to see if he wanted anything but I caught him staring directly at Luna; and Luna staring right at him.
He looked at her with a glare so sharp it looked like he could crack her open in seconds, like he was a hammer and she was a fragile glass vase.
The exchange of stares between the two made me oddly uncomfortable and almost made my blood boil or a reason.
I can't help but think of the chemistry these two had- or have, even. The way he described him touching every inch of her body made me want to punch him in the mouth so hard he'd lose all his teeth and never be able to talk again.
My thoughts were interrupted when a soft, shaky voice filled the air:
"I'm gonna take a shower." She said, so faint it sounded like a whisper.
She didn't even look at me for reassurance like she usually would, she just walked away.
"I'll take a water too." Greg finally spoke.
I began to walk to the kitchen having Greg and Larson follow behind.
I toss them a water bottle and we all sit on the table. We're all staring into space in the silence for a few minutes before we hear the shower beginning to run.
Once it does, Greg breaks the silence, "It's been a while you know."
Larson and I looked over to Greg to see which one of us he was speaking to.
"What?" I asked.
"Since me and Luna..." he started, and I eventually caught on.
"I don't really-"
"I saw the way you were staring at us."
