We arrive back at the ship and Garret, Eric and Danse were waiting there. I jumped down and asked why they looked so sad "No I can't do this. Not to hiro!" snapped Danse snatching a file out of Phillips hands. I looked at the two and they sighed and walked off.
I was really confused. I flopped onto my back sighing. 'what was that all about?" I couldn't get it out of my head. I skipped Tea not wanting to see anyone. I checked my terminal seeing in any urgent messages had showed up. Then a loud knock was at the door. It was Danse. He was holding the file and his eyes were all puffy and red in addition to all that he stared at me. "Danse what's happening?" i asked slightly concerned. He handed me the file and in big bold letters it said 1 year. Tears filled my eyes and I fell to the floor "No you can't die your the only thing I have I can't lose you!" my sobs were load and mumbled. Danse held me in his arms "radiation fever got into my body and the cure is forgotten, I'm sorry," I could tell he was crying as well. He placed his finger and thumb onto my chin and leaned in. I closed my eyes and then we made contact. His soft lips tasted like heaven and his hand fit so perfectly in mine. Danse pulled away getting his breath back.
I couldn't sleep that night even when I cuddled up to Danse my eyes would pull open "Hiro? You know that I love you right?" Danse whispered while I nodded he kissed my forehead and I fell asleep.
