As I crossed the old wooden bridge a thought came to my mind. 'Wait, what am I going to do now I have no idea where I'm going.' I panicked and started walking around in circles, How is a 21 year old ( or so) girl gonna survive this wasteland. I walked around and managed to get myself lost. The sun was setting, night was one of my favourite time of the day. Not anymore. The ground rumbled and groans filled the air. Suddenly, gorals arose. Their drooping face and deformed limbs reach out to hurt me, my instinct was to attack them but I stood frozen with shock. My Breath got faster, my blood raced and my brow getting sweaty. Adrenaline rushes through my body and my arms swing around with the baseball bat. Its head flew off like a ball, a smile spread across my face. I can handle this, I think.
I thought I was fine, knocking goral heads off one by one with a cheesy grin across my face. I thought that victory was in sight. In a quick moment, a swarm of gorals erupted from the ground. I couldn't fight them all so I ran until I reached a mountain. I caught my breath, wheezing and coughing. My throat so dry and scratchy that it hurt to breath but I was so tired out that I endured the pain. Looking up, the swarm had caught up; the ferals in the front line. Ferals: like gorals but faster, deadlier. Inescapable...
The swarm came rushing in, overlapping and stomping on each other, they are pathetic creatures; I cant believe they were once human. I gave up, I cant run away. I fall to the floor, crying my eyes out and curling into a ball on the spiky grass. Looking up, I start to black out only flashes of light as I faint. A murmured voice, I cant make out what he's saying it's just a noise, sounds far away but safe. The voice was deep and comforting, reminded me of my dad when he tried to calm me down. Suddenly, the weight of the ground is lifted and so am I. The comfort of this persons arms made me fall asleep, I was so calm that my body seemed lifeless. The deep, comforting voice turned into a shout. " No, no, no. NO, WE CAN'T LOOSE YOU STAY WITH ME HIRO!" The weight of the ground is back and I realised that I wasn't tired, I was slipping away. I see my mother and father reaching their hands out. I force my arm to reach out but just as I was about to reach them I was being pulled away.
